    It's an Alfa Romeo Spider from the GM/Fiat alliance some years ago. Designed by Giugiaro and built on a co-developed platform using GM derived petrol engines tweaked by Alfa. It came in three versions 159,Brera and Spider.

    It also had the 1.750 Tbi engine as used in the 4C, although in cast iron instead of aluminium. Underrated car.

    159, pretty popular in Italy. Came with a variety of engines, including diesels and V6s.
    Even with the diesel drives like an Alfa.
    I always thought it would have done well in the US

    A lot better looking than the Giulia, atleast in the front. The Brera was a good looking showcar. They really did ruin it I think when they chopped the wheelbase on the production version. The nose was still very nice.

    I have a silver grey (grigio) 159 SW just like the red one. Pretty reliable car. And the design is amazing still today.

    My old 159 a few years ago in Devon. I had thee 5 - pot diesel which for an oil burner did sound rather good. Once in full tune (clear DPF) wasn't half bad for a relatively large FWD car.
