Oh, ****, every time a new Ferrari appears, someone says that it looks like a Corvette. Now that they´re building a mid engine Corvette this is going to get harder.

Do you own a business? I guess you do. Thus, you must know that things are way more complicated than this.

Much louder and rougher than the many 488s I hear around here, hence why I suggested maybe aftermarket. It was just trundling around in a low gear and literally sounded like something broken.

Seems like you have an axe to grind. It's always easy behind a keyboard, right?

I had responded that how much Ferrari makes on each car is irrelevant with regards to the actual nature of the car; hard to grasp this concept?

Yes, I own a business as you can likely tell

The 720 looks good on the road especially from a distance because it has good proportions and its deeply sculpted sides - BTW, design freedom along door leading edge probably the only advantage of having scissor doors.

Having said this I also think it lacks a certain sophistication of design and surfacing and is a mishmash of shapes and swoops with big bug eyes. And frankly the character lines along the peaks of the fenders and through the doors are a total rip off on the 458.

As for the Senna... words fail me.

McLaren seems to favor function over form- some like that, some don’t. Ferrari favors form over function and again, some like it some don’t. To me the cars look good or bad depending on the angle. I think the 720 looks best when the rear wing is up. To me, I find both of these cars beautiful but like I said I hated the 720 when I saw the first pictures whereas I’ve lived the 488 ever since it’s initial release.

A part of me was wishing that the F8 would have been basically the Pista but a more " Luxury " version. Not as hard core on Carbon but leather. The round vents even though a part of history just look like after thoughts. Again the 4 rear lights a part of history but just doesn't sit right. The front well can see the reasons and actually can accept it.

With the 488 GTB which i own and love the only real question I have is the cooling efficient enough. Looking at the up grades ; change radiator orientation , vents on the front bumper , changed air intake.

My response to your stipulation that Ferrari cannot afford to spend on new products is that they have a 30% profit per car and their R&D investment is also 30% of their profit. I wish I had this kind of figures in my own business...

I will be the first to admit that the McLaren 720S is a better all around performer than the 488. That being said, in the real world I’d much rather have a Ferrari over a McLaren. It’s all about personal preference. I can’t use all the power my lowly 458 has, so I truly don’t need 720hp or more. I’m happy with what I have, and like what is essentially a refresh in the F8. Probably not enough to get me out of my 458 but I still like the way it looks.

Going around insulting people is not very smart.

Im sure you are old/wise enough to simply ignore someone you don't agree with.

Hard to argue...I never liked it until I saw it. It's stunning and the lines are to die for...oh and the doors...oh and the HP...oh air brake wing...etc...etc...etc...

Nope, sorry not feeling it. And I have seen it in the flesh. Looks like a CG crazed attempt at a spaceship, and something I DON"T like in cars. The closer you get to a 250GT or a 58TR the better as far as I am concerned .

Ferrari isn't doing that good of a job either for that matter but its better than this. AND its a FERRARI.

    I know D, they all can't look as similar as 458, 488, Pista and now F8 ;)

OK this is a SENNA. I will have to say I do like this exterior (interior is still ugly though). This is a million plus though and for that dough I can buy an F40. Which one will be worth more in 10 years? (serious question)

Is this really expected to be the last non-hybrid V8 Ferrari ME?

Will be a shame to see non-hybrid V8 MEs go away, if that is the case.

And I will take any of them over a McLaren 650 - 675 - 720 (which I can't tell the difference unless I study them).

Far as I am concerned that are BMW to Mercedes. A great car but "not quite" the ONE.

If I kept a car 10 years, then yeah I'd care. I don't. Will F40 be worth more, yep maybe but it was also built starting in 1987...so it's older.

    I'd love to have both.
