That would be a great design for the F173. It will be interesting to see whether it is that advanced or even more radical.

I'm sure people assumed Ferrari did what was optimal for the 430. Perhaps the 458 didn't need as much aero, air or cooling? Perhaps there wasn't a cool way to get enough air using the 458 method to the 488's air hungry turbos and there excess heat. However, I'd like to think Pininfarina would have fought like heck to keep the sleek look of the 458's air intake over the hole. As for the looks, I'm only stating my opinion. I don't mind at all to be in the minority. It's cheaper if other people don't like the same cars you do. [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel 2 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The 720 stole a LOT from the 458 which was first and designed by Pininfarina. This car looks like a continuation of the 458.
Hahahaha!!! Can forward and four low profile tires!!!! And white of course Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Only relative in the sense our entry price is double as is the exit price. Neither are pretty stories i can assure you of that much. Believe me when I tell you, you have it very good with cars. No matter what your loss is ours is always at least double that.
The 430 was kind of disaster when it came to dissipating heat as was the 360. Engine components would rapidly deteriorate or melt as there was no way to move the heat out. Ferrari did not do a good job with either model for this issue.
Whatever do you mean? The side profile of a mid engined V8 is always very similar in terms of general proportions. But the styling details are very different between these two. The PF car has very different glass area shape, a side vent and side lines that are flowing in a completely different direction plus the front and rear side detailing is totally different. Not much else could be different (you can’t really do too much to front and rear overhang in relation to wheelbase etc.) And is your point that PF copied McLaren - which of course has little to do with Ferrari?
I'm just saying they look kind of similar. You really have to know what you are looking at to notice the details. I showed the pic to my family and they all thought it was a McLaren. Mind you wife and kids but they have been around cars quite a bit. Regarding who copied who - I think all designers borrow from one another here and there. Whatever is hot at the time.
Saw the resemblance immediately. Funny how all seem to love the design yet so many on this forum think the 720S is unattractive.
I think all this proves is what a mess of a design the 720 is. And as I already noted the 720 pretty much ripped off the arched character line of the 458 from a decade before. If anything the Pininfarina car looks like a mix of the 458's purity of style and proportions with certain elements of the J50 - the skirts aft of the front wheels (though more subtle), the wheel spats in front of the rear wheels and the LaF style kink of the window sill/belt-line. As I noted previously it's the similarity to the J50 and to the camo'd prototype of the BB that had me believing for a moment that maybe pics of the BB had been leaked. In any case I expect the BB to look quite a bit like the Battista... and not a bit like a 720.
720 side profile is actually nicer than the Battista but the 720 loses it at the front, rear and the top IM-very-subjective-O. The Battista seems to have little aero on it though - does anyone know if they claim it has high aero? I personally don’t think BB will look much like this. It’s nice looking but doesn’t really seem ‘modern-aggressive’ enough, though I don’t know what the BB’s brief will be.
Other then La Ferrari I don’t really consider any of the Ferraris “aggressive”. More elegant than aggressive.
