My Lord, that's just atrocious. Is there an engine underneath all that.... somewhere?

I'll answer my own question: No - engines have long since been replaced by "power units."

I think it's time for Ferrari to ditch the whole concept of a see-through engine compartment cover, as clearly there's nothing worth seeing in there anymore.

Maybe, but rumors are the V8TT will be a $500K+ car so that leaves the current F8 market exposed to competition that is arguaby ahead of them currently.

It looks as the whole middle part of the steeringwheel, including the yellow horse, is now the horn button ...

If F8 is a 4 year run, im even more confused by this decision. The 458/488/F8 platform will have been used now for what 13 years? And 488/F8 essentially the same car 8 years running? Interesting times for sure in the land of Maranello.

I think Ive posted this before. In my group of about a dozen or so car buddies. Im the only one with a Ferrari. We have a bunch of Porsches, Lambos, Mclarens, and one Aston. My 488 is the only Ferrari in the group. And whenever talk of a new car comes up, not a single person is looking at Ferrari but they are looking at other brands.

Now mind you this is a very small sample and is not representative of the overall market - but I run into folks at the gym, cars and coffee and just going out and out. 100% of the time when asked which car they prefer, people choose Mclaren or Porsche or Lambo. Rarely, if ever have I had someone choose the Ferrari as their favorite.

Obviously this doesnt mean a hill of beans cause Ferrari makes some great cars but your comment about being bored and Ferrari just doing facelifts is not an isolated opinion by you. I personally think the F8 looks nice but I have zero interest in this car. Im excited about the upcoming replacements but im hoping to god its not another rebadged, reskinned car and that its truly something new and unique.

Ferrari has competition and time will tell if the F8 is enough to keep Ferrari at its perch as the leader in the exotic world.

Again I'm kind of puzzled with all the comments here:
    - Ferrari is crap, no one wants one
    - people have no other choice than begging to overpay for a Pista
I do not recognize myself in either of these opinions (I don't think Ferrari is crap, and I do not want a Pista at this price) so I'm completely left behind...

When I took delivery of my 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 with a classic 3-pedal manual I was like a little kid again with a new toy. Something as simple as that, and the cup car race engine in there, is all it takes to keep the excitement going.
I think Ferrari is forgetting that.
They don’t seem like “car guys” anymore, seems more like a luxury status brand they are managing.
If they build a lightweight NA V6 stripped interior with a true manual....the car world would be ablaze with excitement...they’d sell every one instantly.
I’d put down a deposit on just the rumor of one.

    F8 perfect for you then.
9.8/10ths a Pista, and you will be able to drive the wheels off it.

For the time being I'm fine with my 488 ;)
As far as money spending is concerned, I will race a Caterham and am considering one of the best bikes in the world (costs peanuts compared to one of the best cars)...

Always hated those thumb horns. Even after four years of F430 ownership I would still accidentally hit the horn when parking as if boldly announcing my arrival!

I think that is why the BB is coming. The role of the F8 is to appease customers who couldn't get a PIsta and to bring in more new to the marque buyers in the sport category. That is where they will make the best profits I think. They probably will get more money by the increment of ME buyers new to the marqe than if they only offered BB which will only be allocated to well established customers anyway.

Why not just make more Pistas? They would have sold every single one.

They will sell the BB to early Pista owners anyway which will make more Pistas available on the secondary where I might try to get one. I am not sure how many more new Pistas they could sell because part of the price is the relative rarity of the car compared to it's more populous 488 brethren.

Image Unavailable, Please Login The new steering wheel indicator buttons feel really good actually - better than the ones we have now. I also like the new horn position better. Seems the new wheel is the new standard for other special cars.. Same goes for the vents.

Cost saving measures most likely. That's why Ferrari has been using the same carbon seats since the Scuderia and it doesn't look like they are stopping anytime soon.

If F8 continues in production for 4 years it must make an F8 VS more likely.

    Nice picture, you there ?

If so can you get a good picture of the plaque on the blue car.

Im curious as its been commented that it will have a 4 year run that maybe you can get the car with no carbon , as I don't like it , and hate the thought of electric that then this would be the last Ferrari for me . Twin turbo V8...…….

Through the tight stuff and, even straights too. But I love the Ferrari! As does everyone else who comes across its path.
