    is the switch for high idle at warm up? then why the thermos spring at the cross over?

    No, the disc with the thermal spring mounted on the valve cover takes care of increasing the idle speed.
    The microswitch is activating an electronic module called the Anti-hop device, which in turn retards the ignition timing at idle. For emission control reasons.

    What I thought about emissions. The Gt4 has the spring on the crossover pipe if the intake manifold controlled by coolant temp
