Adjusting suspension help

What you need to properly setup an F355 is a set of scales (4). The scales are setup so that they are dead level and at wheelbase length and track width apart.
You, then, diddle with the suspension until the front and rear ride heights are correct,
and the LF carries the same weight as the RF
and the LR carries the same weight as the RR
and LF+RR equals RF+LR

It is NOT about the ride heights nearly as much as it is about getting each tire carrying the proper load. And you can't do that without scales.

Spanner wrenches are available at Harbor Freight for next to nothing.

 

You forgot with the equivalent weight of the driver in the seat. ALWAYS set up with driver weight.

My point was moving the conversation away from a strict ride height discussion.

Any you forgot the 1/2 tank of gasoline, and do this on new tires; too.

The wsm has motion ratio of suspension I cannot remember what it is. Let's wag from my bad memory 0.8 mr at rear. Then thread pitch on the shock body is 1.0 metric. So 1mm change per turn but mr is 0.8 (80%) so each turn alters ride height 0.8mm...got it?

When adjusting RH make sure hot psi on tires, right measuring points, best level floor, best swaybars disconnected on 1 side. RH is the 1st basic. Scaling is the next level. Then alignment and a final scale check.

 

Right, that's about what I used to lower my 348 Spider. But remember, ride height is measured from the ground to the control arms mounts. The long overhangs of the 348,355,TR are a bit of a pain on driveways and aprons. Be forewarned.

 

I picked up a body, chassis, suspension 3D measuring system. Talk about an accurate alignment. Have the 348 & 355 data sheets.
