    It is a cheap way to become an official Chevrolet Corvette 'test driver'. :)

    If you want to be a Ferrari 'test driver' you have to spend millions on one of there FXX K Evo cars...

    If there is a 900-1000HP mid-engine Corvette running around NOW (which I doubt), the car is more than likely NOT making all that HP via the engine. Electric motors up front are suppling a bunch of power, which makes the twisting chassis deal sound VERY suspect. The C7 Stingray makes 460HP. The C7 ZR1 makes 755HP, with the EXACT SAME FRAME. Sorry, I call BS on the cracked backlight/twisting chassis. Not to mention, NOT one of these hyper cars has been seen. The IVER's that are running around are clearly base cars.
    But it's a good tale....

    Agreed from what we read the 1000hp one has electrics in front.
    The ICe mtoro can still be 750+ hp.
    The C7s certainly twist, all cars do, the only question is how much.
    On the C7 things like doors hatches etc are designed with movement in mind.
    To date no corvette has been what we might call super stiff.
    Undoubtably the C8 was designed with more stiffness in mind, but maybe not enough.
    Its an inetresting question and at some point we'll probably get fugures on the C8 chasis, I wonder how it will compare tortionaly to a 720 or 488.

    The C5, upon it's introduction in 1997, had the stiffest chassis of any sports car.
    The C7 chassis is considerably stiffer. I have a C7 CONVERTIBLE that exhibits NONE of the standard convertible flexi issues (hood flutter, fuzzy rear view mirror, etc.)
    Compared to a friends BMW 4 series convertible, my C7 feels like a vault.

    ^ Agree. Corvette is probably the stiffest convertible chassis I've driven. Camaro (and many others) are like overcooked pasta in comparison.

    Love that shade of orange! To me, looks like a combination of Corvette Orange (1974) and Inferno Orange (2011). Such a vivid color covers up a lot of perceived design sins that are probably personal preferences anyway.

    Of the 2 above renders of the orange car, the top render looks good the bottom render not so good as it shows the appalling line which runs just above the fender lips front to rear.

    Also, one thing I'm really hating on any car is the fender lip which takes a sharp straight drop and looks like a 1-2 inch flat plane; terrible on honda, toyotas and the like. Just pathetic on supposedly well designed cars.
