My young grasshopper, THIS has been known since the inception of the new formula/rules since 2o14. :( This scenario should change in 2021, unless* [*in theory - Mercedes has cars and/or components testing already in different parts of the world; in order to circumvent any standing rule prohibiting it].

Mercedes has the biggest budget in F1, they poached all the engineers they could and impose a 2 years gardening leave... So don't expect them to loose their edge on others. Especially with the rule change this year favoring their car.
In 2021, things might change, with Merv switching their focus to Formula E.

Till then, the good news is I will have more time to train on my cycling. Not going to get up early or waste any time on watching the same idiots pretending it s close fighting while winning by a mile.

I had hope for this year, but I ll revert to not watching like I did at the end of last year...

Looks like I won't need to set my alarm at strange hours for practice, quali and f1 races. Going to enjoy watching sebring 12 hours, lemans, etc. Some Indycar races and maybe a few nascar road races.Read about what happened in F1 in the newspaper or a car mag.

And thankfully there are A LOT of tickets available for the MotoGP race and Indycar race, respectively. I will be going to both. :)

Always easier at slower speed, ha-ha.

Let's hope that this is circuit specific, otherwise, like many have already mentioned, will find much better ways to spend weekend time.

Pretty much how I feel. I have followed Ferrari f1 for 37 years since I was a young kid and each year of the hybrid era I have kept the faith in the face of MB domination. After this qualifying, my first thought was how am I going to use the personal time I will now save by no longer watching the MB show. I never thought I would ever think that. I’ll follow Ferrari in GT racing and still be passionate about the cars and the history but this F1 “competition” is a farce.

Image Unavailable, Please Login . Listen to the bunch of babies. One qualifying round and it’s all over for the entire season.

If you’re a true Tifosi, you know the importance of pacing yourself between the agony of defeats.

That is a matter of opinion, in which stating as much will only escalate the said nonsense

Yeah right, being 1/10 faster than the wingman certainly is a sign of brilliance [emoji57]

The entire paddock outside of Mercedes, pay attention..... his race engineer admitted they could get Rosberg to press buttons and fix issues with his car, but Elton they can’t do that, they have to do it themselves

Oh the collective groans in the paddock at the best hand of poker of the decade. Merc in a while new class.

What is going on at ferrari? Their budget is just as big as Mercedes.

My fav team so far though is Haas. Punching way over it’s weight class with a staff of under 250. Absolutely amazing.

Extremely impressed with Haas as well as Lando Norris at McLaren. He put in a damn good lap.

The mid pack racing this year is going to be nuts.

According to AMuS, the Mercs gained several tenths in the corners for the .7's deficit. Yes, it's the aero pckge but in conjuction with the Merc's "4 wheel steering" concept as well. They've takin it to another level.

I think everyone has already paced themselves pretty well seeing that defeat has been spanned across 5 years
