You will be accused of stereotyping a little bit, but you may be right. In any case, I don't think it's very clever for a driver to go on the radio and expose his car handicap for the world to hear about it. These things are best discussed behind closed dorrs after the race, IMO.
Exactly, that has never worked before in F1, rally, motorcycles, endurance, touring cars, boats or any other forms of racing. What were Ferrari thinking? They better sell the team to mclaren or williams for some real speed
Yes it's authentically Italian, and something to be proud of. Many F1 teams are nothing more than strategically positioned brass plaques. Highs and lows are all part of sport - keeps the forums busy Try supporting a football team
Ferrari carries an atmosphere inherited from the old Scuderia that seems at odds with modern racing, IMO. Probably the result of staying too long in the game. The 2 teams you mentioned, may also be beyond their "sell-by date" ?
I’ve heard it all now, a veiled comment suggesting maybe Ferrari leave F1 because of a bad result?....FFS, if you hate Ferrari so much, why are you posting here?
Vettel asking to update on engine. He receives nothing. https://streamable.com/s19in while battling with Max for 3rd place, before turn 3, 9 and 13 in this other onboard. seb never uses 8th gear whole time max chases him when he gets in danger of passing, struggles to get over 280km at some parts, you can see max in 8th early on the long straight(PIP). https://streamable.com/c2i03
Max used party mode to pass Vettel he said. That and DRS will explain the significant speed difference.
William, I believe in open forums, but you test that. The thread is entitled Why are we so slow. We. For the extended Ferrari family. Your opinions are not without merit at all, we need to be able to stand up to outside criticism after all, but this should be our place to lick our own wounds and celebrate the victories we have. No disrespect but I really don't know why you are here?
Wow, just wow... I love those stereotypes... I can only imagine the insult if someone would have said the same about a team ran in your country... Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
I wouldn't put any importance to what he is saying. He is in love with Hamilton, he can care less about Mercedes. If Hamilton would leave the sport you can count on William not watching anymore. It's the same with all the other Hamilton fans who are on here. We support Ferrari no matter who is in the seat. Good and bad times, we are there with the team.
This is a Ferrari forum, yet I'm willing to hear any kind of opinion and criticism against Ferrari. But I'm not so willing to accept any kind of unfounded, cliched, simplistic comment. This is not insulting to Ferrari but to our intelligence. If anyone's answer to the OP question is "because they're Italian" or "because they're too old", I'd suggest to apply Groucho Marx's advice, you know: "...better stay quiet". Now back on topic, it does seem that there was an engine issue later in the race but that wouldn't explain the lack of single lap speed. There was a grip issue, and Binotto's and the drivers' comments point that way.
True! But that "Italianess" prevented championships from almost 20 years, starting in the late 70's, and started again about 10 years ago. It is clear what has to be done.......
