Got the watch out, but I can't get the case open to change the battery. Gotta get it changed tomorrow, because I don't work well with razor blades. lol

A couple of years ago I posted (https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/144805238/) some trivia about my slate grey Omega Seamaster Cermet nicknamed The Black Tulip. It represented Omega’s first attempts at producing a ceramic watch and as such it was terribly expensive. The eye-watering price tag meant very few were produced and nowadays even fewer are still around.

Well, you can’t believe my astonishment when the other day I found its even rarer golden brother whilst casually browsing a pawn shop’s window. And you won’t believe that I paid less than a carton of cigarettes for it. Needless to say I snatched it up at warp speed before the shop owner could see me salivating like a rabid dog and have a second thought.

Despite being almost 40 years old all it needed was a little TLC and a fresh battery. I’m amazed that its accuracy is still within cal. 1420’s specs after all this time.

Here it is in all its beauty.

Same watch I wear everyday and the only one I own and still my favourite design ever. It went back to Breitling last year from a complete refurb.

Whilst I look at many of the stunning watches on this thread I've never got the urge to buy one. I don't get on with mechanical watches, I don't like great big chunky lumps of metal on my wrist. So an all Titanium Aerospace before they became clunky and big is as good as it gets for me and I'm unlikely to ever change it for anything.

I like that! I have never liked Breitling watches because most that I see are really busy looking. Granted it is a tool watch for pilots, but I'm not one, and don't understand how to use those slide rules... I have seen some from the 80s/90s that are less busy and more to my liking. How is the service from Breitling?

It took around 8 weeks from the day I sent it until I received it back. It looked like new we it arrived back with me.

It's model number E75362 and I feel it's the sweet spot of the Aerospace range.

I know many turn their noses up at a Quartz watch, but this works for me and there's nothing I've yet found that I would prefer to wear.
