I think he means slow in general in comparison to today's cars.

A question about which I wonder since a long time. What's so exciting about a 'fast car' by 'today's standards' in a country with such stringent speed limits like the U.S.?
Watching Sammy Hagar on YT creeping through the suburbs in his LaFerrari was a funny thing.
We still have -though not all- our speed limit free Autobahn, so I can understand the desire having a 'fast car'. But living near the swiss border, I would not regret, if we would get a general Autobahn speed limit here. Too much swiss maniacs with hi-performance vehicles, who perform things across the border here, for which they would go to prison in their home country.
Worse, they are not familiar with high speed, driving in 'outlaw-Germany' once every few weeks or months.

    Best from Germany

you and Schulz 308 are right

Correct and saw that many times in person.
Every vintage Ferrari is much faster than any speed limit. With such a car (or a 308) you even are more relaxed than with an actual model as you can push a bit without immediately reaching speeds three times more than the limit.
Sammy Hagar with a Laferrari (or a Pista) would have hanged himself to a tree...

    ciao

    In Italy too??
Though you have much higher fines for speeding?
We have the world's cheapest fines for speeding. This is, what makes the near border region here so attractive for speeding maniacs from Switzerland or France.

here two times 20 km/h more than the speed limit means no more driving license for one year. Or just one 40 kmh more than the limit. Swiss drivers here are safe as the driver's license withdraw is not for foreigners

As a comparison: €80.00 in town. €70.00 out of town here.

    Best Regards

LOVE the Boxer trim! What wheels are you running? They look like a Borbet style 5-spoke.....

I’ve got to move down there you have beautiful mountains without having to deal with ice and road salt.

Even though I sold my 308 a year ago, it is great to check back and see this thread thrive. Thanks for keeping it going with all these great photos, but it makes me a little homesick for the Ferrari days!
