Currently wearing Pirelli P Zeros on my 456M GTA. Planning to reshod with Firehawk Indy 500s (245/40/19 front, 305/35/20 rear). Any shareable experiences with these Firestone tires?

You would likely be the first and those tires (26.72" F, 28.41"R diameters) with a front to rear differential of 6.3% will likely screw up the ABS and ASR.

those would be great tires if it were 2008

My car had Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Pentagram 612 wheels when I bought it over 1000 miles ago. No ABS or ASR warning lights.

:) what I meant is that is a really old tire tech... it was good in 2008, not in 2019.

if you want better performance in the same size, go with Conti Extremecontact Sport. it is in the "max performance" category.

but like Taz said, you might want to try out 305/30-20? closer in diameter. and also open you up to both Michelin PS4S and Conti Extremecontact Sport.

and if you go to 295/30-20. then you will be up 1 more category in performance, "Extreme Performance", RE71R. even better tire (performance).

There is no way a 456M had 599 wheels on it. The bolt pattern on the 456M is 5 x 108 mm and the 599 wheels are 5 x 114.3 mm. And what are 599 GTB Fiorano Pentagram 612 wheels? Are you making all this stuff up?

Firehawk's are decently good tires. They are practically Bridgestones and made in Japan. Very comfy, good grip. My GF has them on her Abarth and they are better than the Pirellis that came on my Abarth. Are there better tires? Yes. At that price? Not many.

I have Indy 500s on my Porsche, bought them because reviews said quiet tire. LOUDEST TIRE I HAVE EVER OWNED!

    They look cool though.

A friend has recommended I look at Continental Extreme Contact Sport and Michelin PS4S. Any experience with these?

Those 599 wheels on adapters are dangerous. There is not enough aluminum left on the outer edge of the adapter. Per Paul Hill of Hill Engineering when I asked him about making a set. But I do have to admit one set of 599 wheels was fitted to a 456.

Incidentally, wheel size has nothing to do with ABS/ASR interference. It is determined by the diameter of the tires that the wheel sensors see.

I have the Michelin PS4S on the 550 and the Conti ExtremeContact Sport on the BMW 740iL. Very happy with both. Like others said, the Firehawk is a pretty old design and technology has moved quite a bit since that model was introduced.
