    hi guys,

    does anyone knows how this body panel is fixed to the body ? want to change it.
    does it glued to the body or only rivets etc ?

    It is glued to the roof and fixed there with a rivet, just where the opening at the side window is.

    At the Front, it is bonded to the A-Pillar cover.

    Sealing material is aplied at the side window and sills (butyl tape, don’t know the proper english term).

    Than there are a ton of rivets going from the underside into the main frame rails and around the door opening.


    It is a lot if work....

    If i remember correctly butyl tape proper name is. Self Amalgamating tape. It is a product from over 40 years ago that i know, used to water proof electrical connections
