Would you like Hamilton at Ferrari?

Anyone who is capable of bringing a championship to Maranello is welcome as far as I'm concerned and right now the way Hamilton is driving he is more than capable of doing that.
The only driver I have ever been a 'fan' of over the team is Schumacher, I don't get the hatred for Hamilton and am pretty ambivalent to most of the drivers. What they can do for the team is all that matters.

While I do not concurr with your decision I respect your opinion.

The hatred for Hamilton is because he has tattoos, hang out with hip hop celebrities, uses earings, and so on... Pure bigotry.

I remember Hamilton being very tough on overtakes but I don't remember him doing dirty stuff like Schumacher did a lot of times.

I listen to a lot of hip hop. My brother and lots of friends have tattoos. I was close to getting tattoos (and would've had quite a few) but a skin condition I have makes it too risky. So definitely not that.

 

I'm one of the few here who like Ham. However, I don't think it would be a good match. He is a very good driver, but he is also one of the older drivers on the grid. With the youngsters like LEC, Max, Norris..., he will be past his prime in a couple years. Ferrari needs to look towards the future, not the past.

 

Only way Lewis would want to join Ferrari is if is a much better car over the whole season and he gets trashed by Leclerc ,with Vettel leaving which is a possibility if he keeps on under performing..

Even if the above happens Ferrari might not want him ,all depends on who else would be available for 2020.

If he ends up in the Scuderia ,and brings home the silver i wouldn't be against it.

The Ferrari is faster. Swap seats with Hamilton and Vettel and Ham still would have won whether or not LeClerc are broke or not.

 

I think Isobel is jokingly saying that all the negative posts about Lance are anti-semitic in nature because his father, Lance Stroll, is Jewish (i.e. Isobel's retort to Flavio-C's "pure bigotry" explanation for the hatred directed towards Lewis, in Post #184 above).

 

No, at this point I hope MB stays for the long haul with LH and then Ferrari gets their own Ace and a car to compete. That would be an awesome narrative to look back on.

 

Stroll doesn't have the talent for an F1 drive, and that has nothing to do with the fact that he's Jewish.

Hamilton isn't popular on FChat, and that shouldn't have anything to do with his tattoos, fashion sense, or social circles, yet the way a select few have opined incessantly on those exact topics does make you wonder. A more gentlemanly tone would avoid these misunderstandings in future.

True tifosi don’t cheerlead for the opposition, so Elton will never be loved nor liked by the vast majority of true tifosi. The fact he dresses like a **** and has the personality of peeling wallpaper are just bonus reasons to dislike the dozey moron

 

It is not required for Tifosi to like the opposition. It's just annoying that so many threads devolve into in caustic examinations of his fashion choices or social connections. Are you a critic for Vogue, running a gossip column for Hello!, or are you a motorsports fan? I assume most people come to the F1 forum to talk about racing.

Joke aside: everybody has the right to like/dislike people for whatever reason they have and if somebody does not like him because of tattoos/fashion/music/whatever this is OK as well and no reason to belittle his opinion...tolerance works on both sides

 

The moustache is a passing thing and the posts I've seen have been good-natured. After 10 years of caustic moustache comments intertwined with aspersions cast about his sexually that are specifically directed to rile up his supporters, you might actually have a point. As it stands now, drawing equivalency between the two and calling for tolerance is disingenuous.
