Agree. I hate the super thin 458 wheels. Not as bad as the 512M or 412 wheels, but close. These 458 wheels I like.
You sell that Challenge car and we can get you in 458 today! (white loafers, sansibelt imagery) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rick all ways keeps his cars so clean, they allways show nice. I thought he was selling this one thought
Strategizing about the next purchase? I just missed out on a car that in a few years in my opinion is going to be worth a heck of a lot more than what they bring now. 360 GT #2030 was offered to me back in the fall for 200k and I needed to sell my 512 BBi before I could move on the car. These cars represent Ferrari’s initial foray back into GT racing after a 25 year plus hiatus, and are a huge bargain right now. So mark my words, find a 360 N-GT or 360 GT and buy it now before they r 500k in a few years. Incidentally, #2030 was wholesaled to a well known European race car dealer who then sold it on. It remains in the US where it is currently “quietly” for sale! If one doesn’t go full bore GT or doesn’t want to spend that much, buy an early challenge car (up to and including 360’s) —— Robb u really should try and hang onto that 355, or trade it for a 360 GT
That garage looks amazing Robb! Thanks for the text today Robb. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do around here!
Wow, that is one of the cleanest garages I've ever seen. Really nice job, I like the idea of being able to watch TV while I work. (But then I would be distracted)
Still on the search for our next car. Had a car lined up but the ppi showed more work needed than I preferred. Thanks for keeping links headed my way. Robb
This searching for the right car is not a particularly fun exercise... Owning and driving is much better. Robb
The main reason is I feel the sales people should know more than me and maybe even teach me something new. This never happens Then too make it worse, they try to sell you something you do not want, and thats where unfortunately for them it goes down hill because if i wanted patience (patients)i would have been a doctor.
Main issue when looking for a car is most dealers don’t know the answers to any common questions - that YOU need to know before moving forward. Other issue is that they don’t really go over the cars with a fine toothed comb to know what the condition really is. I can’t say this about every dealer... But they can be more of a clearing house where it is a similar crapshoot to a blind BJ auction. Without a ppi you are kind of in the dark. And you likely will spend more money going to see more cars the weaker the dealer info. I think that is one reason it’s great to find a private party sale with an enthusiast. You can generally see what the real deal is fairly quickly. And in AZ there is no tax on private party sales. Robb
Very happy to say I have found my next car for the garage. This one will likely be with me for the long haul and be passed down to the kids... Will be picking it up in the next week or two so stay tuned to this thread for the next adventure. No hints - ya gotta wait. Hopefully another epic road trip involved in the pick-up with lots of photography and scenic roads. As usual, I’m very thankful to all the f-chatters and their input and fun along the way. Robb
Also excited that we passed 100,000 views on this thread. Thanks Luke for the reminder. More good times coming. Robb
Monday update... Check the parts classifieds. Selling an OEM 355 challenge grill Looking for a 355 car cover (set) Thanks. Robb
I am trying to locate an extra windshield sticker from the Ferrari Club of America. I prefer the old school sticker on the inside of the glass. Can anyone send me an extra one or two you have? I’m also happy to buy them from you. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Special thanks to Barry who sent me an extra window sticker that I was looking for. If you all check your file folders for the FCA dues over the years, you may find an extra one of these. I’d love to find ONE more if you all come across one. Robb
I am looking for two replacement empty tool trays (the brown fuzzy ones) that go inside the leather 355 tool kit. I do not need the tools. If anyone has the two empty trays, I’d be happy to purchase them from you or come visit and get you out for some food and drink during my work travels. Robb
