Yes clearly I agree about the highlighted, and for me, personally calling the opposition scum does not say a lot about the car I drive, a Ferrari, as they have as lost to them, (and that's without mentioning the seemingly bizarre strategy calls, I'd rather Ferrari build a better mouse trap.. IMO your post is embarrassment to read as a Ferrari fan.
Vettel will never be WDC again, his big chance was 2018 and he blew it.The sooner Ferrari accept this the better.
Yeah. It’s not an anti Hamilton thing. The fact is driver makes maybe 10% difference or so these days. Maybe 20%. It really is all about the car
Can one make the assumption after these 3 GP's that the ONLY reason Max is beating both Ferrari's has to do with pit lane strat.??? Because Max certainly does'nt have the faster car.
Well I think the lack of any strategy by Ferrari. Being second best is always the first loser..... Ciao Oscar
And realiability issues in the first two races... Problem: the Ferrari is either fast or more reliable, but not both at the same time. Difficult to win with a car like this no matter what strategy you are given...
Out of respect for the tifosi, I didn't want to say that, but it has been my feeling for some time now. It's time for Ferrari to back Leclerc and see what he can do with a bit more support.
Beat is beat. Ferrari making their usual stupid errors all over the place. MV is doing well to keep himself in a position to take advantage of them.
From the present crop Max or Lewis are the obvious front runners. Then we have the new boys coming through Lando/Alex/George but they need to prove they are worth it first.Gio seems to be kind of struggling , lil Schumi too early to tell. Doubt anything will change before 2021.
ZB walked into a team in complete disarray. MW and RD really had that place inside out. That ZB was able to get something of a handle on it is something in his favor.
Horner was a master of strategy in the past and behind Vettel's 4 WDCs - apart from Newey, of course. So he may be behind Max' good fortune. Now, there are too many parameters changing all the time for strategy being handled by just one man on the pitwall. Mercedes has invested in an army of strategists and number crunchers at its base to direct proceedings on the track.
So, if you go up and down the pit lane and ask anyone involved in F1, they would prefer a roomful of brilliant strategists to an outright faster car? I will admit it's good to have both, but faster car is what wins.
I doubt... if Seb does not get it done before his contract is over he will be gone. Leclerc becoming No.1 and someone will warn the second seat in case Mick is really worth the seat on day....
With a faster car you are in the comfortable situation to react to others strategy... with a slower you must be creative and take risks to get by. The first is much easier than the sesond...
Difficult choice! Max or Lewis aren't easy bedfellow, it seems. They have a big ego, and Charles is a quiet, thinking driver, a bit Prost-like to me. Leclerc should have a Partner of roughly the same experience, not an already established driver. George Russell did alright during his test with Mercedes, so he can't be that bad, but driving a Williams for too long, and his skill will be blunted. I don't know if Albon will be any good.
The dominance of Mercedes is -sorry to say- this year again present. It makes the races boring and China was a very good example, Max and Charles are trying but with .5-.8 seconds every lap doesn’t make it easier. Both Ferrari and RB should act soon or we will have another boring year. Not only the car but also strategy, some drivers (sack Gosly and Vettel) and perhaps some luck... Also during the race only a few real overtakes were shown. F1 has a problem...... Ciao Oscar
