"Certainly it's difficult as a team to give the order," said team principal Binotto. "Because we understand the drivers, they need to battle to stay ahead as much as they can.

"It was certainly not an easy decision. I have to thank Charles. The way he behaved, it again shows he's being a good team player. But I think again there will be a time where the situation is simply reversed. As a team we need to maximise the team points. In that respect I think we did the right choice."

...except these team orders are costing them points and positions. Max sure is happy to take points off of these idiots, I am sure of that.

Instead of thanking Charles they should be apologizing to him, as it clearly was the wrong decision, and a costly one.

With no team orders, Chuck would likely have an additional 7 points and be leading the mental midget Vettel by 6 points. Idiotic Ferrari strategy.

He's wrong. What would be difficult is giving Vettel a few team orders.

LOL forever captured on tape and audio. Vettel - a team player if the team is backing him it seems. He knew Horner and H-Mut would do nothing....

I give it 2-3 more races, and I think (which is wrong though), Charles will start ignoring team orders.

If Charles ignores team orders, then the only way that will happen is for it to be agreed behind closed doors between himself and management, as Vettel will clearly have his guarantees written into his contract to prevent playing second fiddle in any situation with the exception of mechanical issues, so the team may be forced to ‘allow’ Charles to ignore orders and take personal blame for such to keep harmony with Seb. It’s no good winning the WDC but missing out on the WCC (the title the team actually treasures more) because you have pissed off your 4-time world champion, £30+million a year team leader!

Chuck should start ignoring orders in Baku. Cost him 7 points over the first 3 races, how many more can he afford to give away?

Equally, it's no good recruiting a talented driver like Leclerc, and keep him on a leash not to upset the "leading" driver who doesn't perform as he should.

I agree, but Charles is a very level headed chap, he isn’t like max who expected to be number one with effect from his first seat fitting.. Charles is very aware that when getting his chance at ferrari, having spent so many years gearing up for the opportunity, that the team will dictate what he can and can’t do, so I don’t think he will be anything more than a little disappointed if he doesn’t get the call over Seb this first year in the car. Next year will be his target to show more of what he is made of, and this will be a year of proving he has it in him to match, and occasionally beat, his team mate

I think qualif times should give us a good idea who is the fastest of the 2.
IMO, Leclerc has to show his mettle and secure his position before Vettel's contract expires.
I don't think Vettel will be kept, and Ferrari may want to recruit an established driver then: Verstappen or Ricciardo perhaps ? both being frustrated by lack of results in their respective teams.
