Caps-Canes looking real good
No explanation as to why the goal waved off. That's a terrible job of the officials with respect to lack of communication to the coaches and fans
My guess is that the referees deemed the puck to be covered and therefore the play is over. Even if the whistle hasn’t gone yet because remember there is a short delay between the play being dead and the whistle being blown. So if the play is over in the referee’s head before he gets a chance to blow the whistle then the play is dead. It happens quite often but is only noticed when there is a goal.
Ovie is livid. And I can’t say I blame him. These officials get paid big bucks. At least be in the right spot to make a call that involves a goal. The official was way out of position on that controversial play.
That actually was the right call. But I stand by what I said about the official being in position AND communicating to everyone the reason. It was because the puck was underneath goalie and you cannot fish it loose from the goalie.
Ugh, females doing "color" on hockey broadcasts.............. just NO. stfu and go call female tennis and golf matches.
No issues with females adding some commentary to the games. I actually like the diversity. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm surprised Dallas beat Nashville. Nashville really tried hard in OT. I think the Blues are going to be really tough for them.
At this rate Toronto will win today and Washington will be gone tomorrow. What on earth happened this year.
So I've got a trip planned to Washington in the next week or two. With this game coming down to game 7 I think I may be placing a hefty bet on the Capitals to win. I think its going to be a tough game. However if they win, I win my bet, and use the money and fund part of my ticket for a game next round. If they lose I will not be buying tickets and therefore at the end spend less money. Anyone see a flaw?
I was at all the pre-game hoopla Sunday (a beautiful afternoon) at T-Mobile with my friend Joe (wives shopping) We met a bunch of very nice people, rabid VGK fans. Within an hour of sitting at the bar at the Brauhous, we were all buying each other beers. One excited lady showed us where she hid her little liquor bottles so she didn't have to pay arena prices inside. The pregame with cheerleaders, showgirls, etc. was like no other NHL game. Good luck VGK in game 7. And speaking of game 7s....somebody on here way back said they Caps were in for a helluva fight. I miss las vegas already.
It is as if the female color commentators are trying too hard..........."overcompensating" if you will.........can't there be moments in their broadcast with NO commentary? I want to hear the crowd in the arena. I want to HEAR the snick-snick-snick of the biscuit connecting with a player's stick blade . We're hockey fans! We KNOW what is going on and who is doing what. Don't ask me, Tamas. With Dallas closing it out last night I am ZERO for 5 in picking winners of this season's first round matchups. Keith, that just sounds like a wonderful, relaxing way to people-watch while viewing the game - love it! Should be an awesome evening of hockey rootin' tonight
Neal and Tamas....I did my best Friend of Canada imitation by guzzling down Labatt Blue all afternoon
