I said i wanted the same spec, including stripe, as my coupe, but that's not the same stripe. i like it though, so I'm fine with it

 

I think Stripes on the Spider are just wider so physically impossible to get the exact same stripe. But I agree with you that it looks great.

 

Congrats!! I think the stripes they did is better than putting the coupe stripes on the spider. But I don’t think they are the same stripes, not to my eyes lol

 

I think it's great they messed up--something different.

Wow. A full month between releasing the second and third photo? What stage is it at now?

 

Randy, car looks great. You are now the third person in Chicago that Ferrari has screwed up the strip. Lake Forest had two Pista's come in that were ordered with a stipe but Ferrari "Forgot" to put it on the car. Major lack of quality control going on in Italy.....

 

Ive had 3 brand new Ferrari's and all 3 including the Pista came with the wrong spec.

 

Dealer error, Maranello error or combination of both?

 

I have had a lot of cars and all perfect but looking at the ordering system it is so casual that I totally expect a cock up something

 

Dealer says factory but Im not too sure.
My first car came with £15k extra carbon, take it or leave they said, obviously took it as excitement takes over.
Second car, the stripe is missing from the seat, we will remove the seats and send to a place that can put the stripe in they said, no was the answer to that one.
My Pista arrived 2 weeks ago with the wrong wheels on, my dealer was great and swapped within a week, at their cost not the factory I should add.
Pics are when it arrived with dark grey, second after they swapped for the wheels I chose to match the centre of the stripe.

You guys are scaring me. I’ve looked at my Pista spec a dozen times to make sure they don’t screw up anything.

 

I’m not sure checking the spec with dealer will do any good because a lot of this is factory quality control. I’ve also been paranoid about my car which is in production right now.

I have the same dealer as Clockem and for the life of me I don’t understand how they forgot to put stripes on two pistas. It’s almost like it was on purpose. How does that happen? I’ve had cars missing smaller options like colored tachs, different wheels etc but a stripe is a huge error. I hope it doesn’t happen to me.

If they screw up a small option I guess I could live with it. But if they miss the stripes- man that would be just awful. IMHO- the stripes make the Pista. Without the Stripes - it’s just another F8 to me. That is a major screw up.

 

With all these 'errors' maybe it will show up with a Blu TdF stripe on a Giallo Pista.
Perfect excuse to weasel an extra allocation out of Ferrari to correct the mistake and the dealer then gets an extra Pista to sell. It is strange they are missing important details on the build spec. Maybe the 'stripe guy' was away sick! I could see them changing the wheel color due to a supply issue and then just ignoring the problem later...
