Ferrari confident pre season testing and this is the strongest F1 has started an F1 season this era. I wonder if this is the strongest start of any F1 team ever even? I had a quick look I don't think there has ever been a season where a team has started with 4 consecutive 1-2s.

Again, everybody talking about strategy. Ingegneri dei lunedi... When the car is good, any strategy looks good. Right now we're missing a few tenths and drivers' errors aren't helping.

Today Vettel had not the pace and Leclerc's biggest problem is that for whatever reason the soft tyres didn't work for him.

Currently Mercs have 5 consecutive 1-2 finishes if you count Abu Dhabi 2018.

Once again, Ferrari threw Leclerc under the bus to try to hold up the Mercs, so Vettel could ...
... do pretty much nothing.

Sky tried to get Charles to criticize Ferrari's strategy, but he deflected it with "need to look at the data". ;)

(Weren't we all thinking: LEC has two sets of reds. Two-stop him at, say, lap 22 and 36 for his best chance.?)

But Charles might be right. They need to look at the data.
The reds didn't appear to be much faster than the yellows.
Even on fresh reds, LEC couldn't grab fast lap until he got a tow and DRS off a lapped car.
(Which explains how Merc snagged pole in qual -- slipstreaming.)

But they should have looked at that data before the race.

Ferrari needed teamwork, not favoritism, here.

On a side note, it's nice to see McLaren coming back from their hole ...

He was thinking, "Mirrors? Mirrors? We don' need no steenkin' mirrors!" :p

(To be fair, he was probably fixated on how to shift into reverse. ;))

I would guess he was thinking that kyvat ducked behind him and went on his way down the road and that he was the only one sitting in the escape road. That was not correct......

    It's called adrenaline.
When you know you messed up and want to correct it in an instant before anyone notices.
And you just make it worse !

Merc are a juggernaut, pure and simple. Don't know if purely budget delta to others or just the best grouping of minds (initiated by Brawn).

The fact they're the only team to make their car work with little rake makes me think they're running and evaluating two or more parallel design concepts at any one time. The fact that Wolff-before he pulled back on his gloating and resumed his performance deficit misinformation campaign-said that Ferrari's front wing concept was something they looked at and chose not to use. He then changed his story to imply it was a trick they mistress but would take "months" to implement, poor us.

We should at least give credit to Binotto for saying that the perceived pace advantage of Ferrari being promoted by Wolff and company was not right.

Honestly, i think Lec could have snatched pole on saturday, and he kn it too. I hope Ferrari will work at spain, because under normal circunstances he will trash vettel and he will beat the Mercs, the Kid isthat good.
Rosbeg was 100% right when he said Ferrari ****ed up qualy when they changed es in q2.

It's the Ferrari way. How many times have we seen it that they where that quick, they change the strategy for the race and it all falls apart. Lol.
they're trying to be too clever.
