There is no space for V12 and real hybrid system and it would be too heavy.

I completely agree! Who wants a 5,000 pound Ferrari?

Maybe the upcoming 812 Spider is some sort of a tributo to the V12, a finale before V12s are no more?

If a V8 is the top (production) car, where does the V12 fit?

Has there ever been a time when Ferrari's V12 was so endangered?

    How else could it be?

If the V12 continues in 812 successor it has to be even more powerful V12, right?

But, that would still put the V12 under the V8 as the premiere car...then again, if the 812 replacement is to be an 'elegant GT' it doesn't need more power, it needs more style/comfort, right?

Neverminding for a moment of the ever increasing penalties for 'excessive' CO2 release (i.e. plant food), at least by EU regulations, that's the whole point of going electric, turbo, smaller blocks, to reduce penalties Ferrari pays...and will have to pass along to the customer (probably by higher base price)

I think for V12 customers cost is not the primary concern. They just want the opportunity to buy a suitable V12 Ferrari.
Ferrari is going too much on the cheap these days only offering one exhaust system for all markets they want to sell into.
I don't agree about the need for more power; the 'driving experience' is becoming a greater focus...

The Alfieri is supposed to be powered by a hybrid V6, similarly to the "Little Brother". Too bad the Maserati V8 will probably disappear..one of the greatest sounds ever!

The rear view of Model #8 is not good. It sort of reminds me of the 1960's American Motors Corporation model the Marlin. Not a good look!

But thank you for sharing these images here.

It's one of the 9 early LaFerrari designs that didn't make the cut.

I've always wondered if some design features seen in those sketches will find their way on future production models or special editions..

... and what would Enzo say about Ferrari making an SUV?? :)

(Hint: probably the same thing that Luca has already said, on multiple occasions)

Model n.9 is interesting especially the rear treatment!

I would say that the Pininfarina effort on the other hand was not their finest hour. Traditionally Pininfarina have been absolute masters in refining a design idea into a finished product that you could readily build and sell.
Time ran out on this awkward idea shown as model n.4 here. Pininfarina typically had a real instinct for what the customer wanted even when the customer himself or herself did not understand what they needed. The mark of a great designer; who creates 'demand' for their design ideas.

This is soothsaying, but 5 years would be more like "short-term".

I think he is pulling our legs regarding hybridisation. On the other hand, Cosworth extracted some 1000 HP from a 6.5 litre N/A V12... ;)

Where are the flames? Easy to park I suppose but the color leaves something to be desired. Looks like a model the Swiss would order in that gray. Also they would demand a 'vertical integration' certificate that was good for 5 years minimum... :D

Cosworth engine is amazing and probably the best road car engine ever
But that's for a 3 million dollar car don't see Ferrari doing the same for a 500K car

Not just the engine itself as it is a stressed part of the overall body/chassis design. 11k rpm is the icing on the cake!

The only thing that in my opinion comes close to a "spaceship" on four wheels is the 512S Modulo, a crazy concept car from the '70s.. but it's highly subjective. Some people, for example, think the new Apollo or the Mc Speedtail look like spaceships..

Some very nice designs here and for sure some details will be recycled but a lot of the details on the doors behind the front wheels are not achievable without roof hinged doors, which pretty sure BB does not have.
