This is the first F8 I see with Michelin tyres if I'm not mistaken, the Geneva cars had Pirelli.
Unlike the 488, the tyres make is not mentioned on the specification plate (I have "TYMX" on mine).

It appears that when I went to the configuration session there was a high performance tire option code TYHP. It did not specify the make.

The TYHP are probably for Cup2 type of tyres (since the dimensions are the same from the 488 to the Pista and F8, the Pista tyres would fit - they were actually proposed for the latest 488 GTB).
The Michelin on the Grigio car are however regular Pilot Super Sport (the ones I got on the 488 GTB).

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but based on the interior pic above, it looks like they moved the charging port back inside the car, if so, that's a disappointment, one of the things I really liked about the 488 is the exterior charging port, so much easier to use.

I'm not sure of that (and to be honest I did not check when seeing the car), because on the picture with the cables one can see the battery (with the open foot-passenger panel open) which tends to imply it's a direct connection to the battery rather than a charging point (the charger is more to maintain charge, it's not powerful enough to really charge a battery).

Saw that as well, was hoping that was the case, but wondered why they would do that versus just using the charger, especially considering the aesthetic aspects of showing a new model. I hope you're right!

Those look like heavy gauge cables tied directly to battery terminals. Something you would see to boost start the car. They probably have the batteries go dead at those events from having the interior lights on and multiple starts without driving. Don't think it is the tender port. They like to keep those common.

When you order a car, you can spec Michelin (or Pirelli I assume) tires gratis on your order sheet or just leave it up to Marenllo (I am a Michelin man myself;)).

It's a pity this new configurator has a lot less options than the previous one...

The more I look at the rear and front, the more I like the Pista.

Ugly wheels are throwing the car off. Whoever thought these wheels were a good idea in 2019 should be shot.

The Pista is better in every way, unfortunately not everyone who wants and can afford a Pista could secure an allocation. F8 not a bad second option

With the introduction of the F8 we very well may see more Pista allocations that will become available....the Pista is a great F car....but the F8 will be also....and the engine is the same....

The funny thing is that these terrible (OK that's just my opinion) wheels are actually optional, the standard wheels being carried over from the 488.

I bet the car will look twice as good with the 488 wheels. Someone should photoshop those in.
