    I'm sorry to inform you that the Torinese racing driver Carlo Mario Abate passed away on last April 29th at the age of 86.
    He has been one of the best specialists of road races on GT cars and especially on 250 GTO.

    ... And main driver of the Breadvan in 1962, spoke to him when I wrote the book but his memory was gone. Still a truly great driver, Volpi's favorite .

    Thank you! I am touched! He had style, was modest and talented, drove all kind of cars and is highly underrated today!
