It sounds great but works terribly in practice. Creates a lot of vibration.

    And a flat-plane V8 will be worse than a V12.

I think this car is going to be an eAWD as I cannot fathom how you can get sub 2 seconds 0-100 with 1,000CV and RWD.

Even dry, I find it hard to believe that Ferrari arrives to announce a car with 1000Ch and a dry weight of 1000 between 1100 kilos more with a price of about 600K€ I bow before them.

It would really be a masterful feat on the part of the prancing horse.

    True.
But as Luca always said: “Different Ferrari for different Ferraristi”. I am more than okay with the idea that not every single modern Ferrari must have daily capabilities. Vibrations add drama, also e reason that less “perfect” older cars are often considered to have more character than modern ones. IMO driving a Ferrari (at least a real sports car or supercar) needs to be an occasion.

After several talks with test drivers and higher ranked employees, I do see and hear that Ferrari wants to heavily reinforce it's racing heritage. Even the Tributo has much, much more racing DNA inside than the 488 from what the genral public has seen. All test drivers said the same thing; Ferrari wants to be more 'racey'.

I can't wait for Maty 31st. If these specs are to be believed, Ferrari has upped the game once more. Just like they did styling wise with the Monza.

And how will the electric engines work? If they have juice after charging them/lots of braking you will have 1000hp, great.
If they don’t have juice you just have a very heavy car with a Pista engine?

I know it's hard to imagine but maybe that's why they are asking us to dare to do so ;)

The LF was clocked by R&T at 2.4''. With the new tyre technology, something close to 2'' isn't unthinkable. Then again, this 2'' figure is just a rumour.

The engine vibration in the F50 is not caused by the engine being from a "racing" background, its caused by it being directly attached to the cars carbon tub.

BB is basically the new Testarossa.
As Manzoni explained, Ferrari is going back to the pre-550 situation, when a mid-engine car was the flagship model. The same thing is happening now, with the BB "replacing" the 812 Superfast.

The only way regressing to the flagship model being mid-engine would get me excited would be if said "mid-engine" were a V12, which clearly this will not be.
