Anyone care to elaborate why it seems 5712/1A's have jumped quite a but in price? The "ask" at least?

 

Every nautilus has gone through the roof. Had a 5080. Sold it a few years ago for 40k. They are now selling for 100k. Big regret!!

 

Thought it was patek creating demand by slowly releasing watches. I know Rolex and AP have been doing this as well.

 

Yup. That’s exactly what they are doing.

 

It’s just insane how they have doubled in the last couple years for a stainless steel watch.

Got a call from the AD- my 5968 should be here in next month or so. Fingers crossed. I put my name on the list after last years Baselworld- 14 months later its hopefully coming. Im #2 on my ADs list. They got one piece all of last year. He is supposed to get 4 this year.

 

Can your AD get me one? Haha

I wish. its an impossible piece to get. Already an 18 month wait list on the green aquanaut.

Aquanaut and Nautilus- super tough.

 

IMO wait lists are for people who want 1 or 2 pieces and dont keep the relationship up with the AD. I've bought a number of Pateks over the last year or so and i havent waited too long for much of my collection.

 

There are some Patek’s that are readily available. Others are more difficult to get. Just depends on the model.

 

That's one of the nicest Nautilus.
I've ordered it but I'm still in doubt cause the color tends to the yellow and I don't like this so much.
But the watch is gorgeous.

 

I agree...but truth be told I bought a Worldtime first and then 3 Nautilus (5990,5980,5726) and an Aquanaut 5164. It’s really about the relationship...I’m a firm believer of that.

 

Are you talking about 5740? Sorry what yellows?

 

White gold of the watch has some yellow reflex in it.

 

To me, that's beauty, warmth, and elegance of white gold... Somwething sublte that those who know can spot across the room.

 

Have you seen it live?
I love withe gold but on this reference it has too many yellow in it

 

Starting to get the wifey to build her own collection - baby steps, she finally came around to these aren't just watches, but heirlooms.
