Hi All, I’m in the market for a 512TR. Ok with a car that needs a major but still prefer to stay lower miles (sub 30k). Color preference to white but willing to consider all cars. Looking for a car I can drive - not a museum piece. Looking for a price point in the $14X,XXX range plus or minus depending on condition. If you have one for sale please let me know details and price. Thank you!
Drew, I'm selling my 1992 Ferrari 512TR (Euro) in red/black with 22K miles. Car had a major in 2015, and is getting new shocks at this time. Euro cars are noticeably faster than US cars. Asking $175K, but have some flexibility. If you are interested, give me a call at 301-785-0025 cell. Best, Jude Washington DC
Hi Drew, No affiliation but this seems to check all of your boxes. White, fresh service, mileage, price. It may even be a '94. It is in Belgium. Not sure if you also get some VAT back on it. Worth a call I would say. http://www.mecanicimport.com/cars/details/ferrari-512-tr-2
Beautiful car. At $155 plus the import/shipping would be rough. Are those 360cs seats masquerading as 512m seats? Appreciate you sharing!
Who knows? Ad calls them 512 LM seats, so I doubt the dealer knows either. Keep an eye on it I guess if the euro tanks. I have never used these people but I have played with their rate quote calculator. https://www.wcshipping.com If you ship from LeHavre, France the price seems very reasonable. Most other ports are much higher. Good luck with your quest.
Ferrari Central Florida (aka Orlando) has a white/tan 512TR, but significantly over your budget. https://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/listing/1992/ferrari/512--tr/1981891
Hi Drew, I have been considering putting my 92 up for sale, 27k miles, red/black. I’m the third owner. I hadn’t really thought about price. If your still in the market please PM me and I’ll reach out to you. Unfortunately I’m at a tradeshow in Detroit and won’t be able to respond for a few days.
Same cars have been on there longer. My idiocracy is why I’m still looking. Missed two auctions on BAT that I should have won. Look at the prices they’re actually selling for - not just the amounts listed by dealers on eBay.
the euro one is the only one i remember - you cld also argue if someone is willing to sell at BAT for no reserve that's essentially a wholesale price as they need/want the money today. i wld think with 170k you can can what u want - for 140k are you gonna get a no story car?
You may be right and 170 feels like something worth a conversation but eBay is all 200+ which is silly.
def worth a call and throwing a number out - u wld be surprised how much you can get off an ask...especially when things are soft....
