I'll post pics later. I think I'm going to get rid of my guns, starting with my AK. Wood stock. Case and about 2000 rounds of ammo incl. I'd probably let it all go for under a grand. Anyone possible interested?

I don't want to speak for Bob but it's stamped Bulgarian, I think those were built by Arsenal.

Um, that is a polymer folding stock, not wood.
    Price?
I see its 7.62x39 and not 5.45x39 or 6.5 Grendel which is a plus.

    Arsenal 107 series?

Sorry, I don't know a lot about guns. Felt like wood to me. I don't want to sell things separately, so I'm looking for an even grand for everything, rifle, case, clips, cleaning kit if I can find it, and roughly 2000 rounds of ammo.

    Got ya, no worries.
This is a desirable model, and its an "AKM" not an "AK47", just to advance your knowledge, no disrespect intended.

The model designation is on the receiver, it may be on the left side or the underside forward of the magazine well. This information will help value and date it. Colorado for example has date specific gun control regulations.

You may wish to address the fact it has a muzzle brake and post a pic to show if the muzzle is threaded if its pinned, as some States have regulations against military muzzle features and bayonet lugs still.

Mags look like 30 rounders. The magazine release is after market, may be a ban State add-on (California?) for compliance?

On the ammo be aware some States have laws prohibiting hollow points and full metal jacket ammo with steel core.

I know this is a lot to be aware of, but welcome to gun ownership 101 in the USA.

A little more info will help you find the right buyer.

PM me or post if I can help. :)

I'm quite interested but assuming you want a face to face transfer, or will you entertain shipment to my local FFL dealer?

I'd sure prefer face to face transfer. Had to look up FFL dealer. Can your FFL dealer have one local to me accept on your behalf as your agent for lack of a better term and ship it back to you for a nominal fee?

I didn't pay attention, because this was my obligatory 9-month army service (at that time every boy needed to go trough that after finishing school) and all I was thinking about was how the hell can I get out and get some sleep (or see some girls) :D

But I remember they told us, that the Arsenal Kasanlak Ak-47s have almost zero chance to jamm.

    Cool gun and great topic!

Thecarreaper, is there an online resource that you would recommend that is best to learn about the AK series guns? I had a Chinese-made AKM 25 years ago and would like to pick up another AK, but don't know enough about them at this point to know which would be the best to buy. My initial thought is to find an Eastern bloc-manufactured model with wood contact points. I'm not really looking for one of the artisanal offerings that are available, but something more true to the gun's original character.

    Thanks!
