Won't matter. You can keep changing drivers, management and so on. It won't matter a thing. Install a competent team manager and let him hire competent people based on their skill and how they work with a team rather than how Italian they are. Let the Italians do the food.
Looked like he was scrapping every step of the way. Shocked he overcame his moment at Rascasse to get pole. He wasn’t going to be denied. In that Merc battle, it’s a bit wacky. Bottas seems to dominate all the way up to the race and then Hamilton somehow pulls it together. Is it rope-a-dope or does LH have that extra push that VB can’t get to (yet)?
I think they're very close together in outright speed. Theres **** all between Lewis and Bottles this quali again. Would expect more really for an ''extra push''...
It seems like he should just record an apology and play it after every Q3 and race. It’s a tradition this season...Seb muffs it somewhere on track and Ferrari muffs it for Charles. Everyone can see this, except the Scuderia.
“Extra push” as in he can pull a rabbit out of his backside when it seems all is lost. I think that VB has been consistently faster but LH has found a way ahead in the last 3 races (this one isn’t done, obviously). For all of the misplaced criticism of Bottas’ driving last year, he’s been a machine this season. I’ve been very impressed with his form, and again he seemed like he had the measure of Hamilton today (even LH inferred that) but Ham found some way past him for pole.
No one should really take this sport seriously anymore. There are only two men out there (Kimi and Bottas) the rest are just babies in mens bodies. This whole thing is a poorly run show by Ferrari. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to wake up and the headlines show...."Ferrari hire Ilona Staller as new F1 team Boss as she aims to make team "harder" to beat." Her only comment so far is that she will at least make sure the drivers will be mounting the proper rubber.
True. Reminds me of my Canadian hockey team that hires management for the first language they speak, not their competency.
The only thing Ferrari is dominant at is finding new ways to shoot their own foot off. That's all of them though. Drivers included. LeClerc should have been released again but he's making mistakes of his own accord every Saturday anymore. He has youth on his side though and if he didn't let this get the best of him he will bounce back a better driver from it. Hopefully that's in a team that's worth a **** though. When it comes down to it, Hamilton is clutch and Bottas isn't. When the ultimate pressure is on the line, he just doesn't have what it takes. I'll likely watch the race tomorrow to see how LeClerc does. He isn't afraid of passing. He doesn't seem afraid of crashing though either.
Thankfully I won’t have to post Bottles and Urkel for Canada, I just turned down the best seats in the house if I wanted to attend. Nope. Finally a guarantee Ferrari will win one race this year....
