For now all of those numbers are just theorical .
Mercedes will have lots of difficulties to deliver such a car with all the technical constraints relative to environmental rules .
I' m sure their Amg one will weight around 1500 kg and maybe 1000-1050 hp .
Where are the valkyries mules ?

"Our" car is ready , ready to buy for next year , it's a reality not a fantasy.
( and i don't want to talk about Aston Martin future shadow clay models ..)

About 1300-1350 kilos for the Merc. And about a 200 kilos less for the Valkyrie. They are pretty much LMP1 cars. Not easy to make.

But Murray's T50 excites me the most. I'd love to see McLaren F1's true successor. :)

I don't believe for one second they will achieve the announced weight target nor Amg neither Aston Martin too.

Why not? Have you seen how little space there actually is in the AM? It looks like it can't even comfortably fit two people. Steering wheel looks like it's 50% the width of the dash.

It looks like an LMP car.

Yes, The GMA T50 is less that 1000Kg for the road version.

You are right but even with that 1250 kgs the best they can achieve .
But I suspect their main problem is to deal with the car compactness and make it running in real life without too much overheating

Overheating for the passenger or the components?

They have the heat problem solved. They got special dispensation from the UK government to use a heat resistant material for the registration plate...

Light weight cars are no big deal today. Even the Senna weighs less than 1200 kilos dry.

The Valkyrie is amazing in the flesh and have you heard the soundtrack from that engine?! Iwouldn’t bet against Newey, he’s the greatest F1 designer in a generation. And the track version is truly something in the flesh - trick aero is quite insane.

But it’s a very special limited hypercar without many of the constraints of BB.

I like the idea of narrower headlights, but if I have to be honest, the execution on the SP38 or J50 never grew on me..

Senna has no hybrid components. Show me a lightweight hybrid car, LaF/918/P1 all had big weight gain over predecessor...I think weight is the challenge moving forward not power. Well that, and sound!

I always read them visually as being an edited version of a familiar form, so it seemed less innovative than clever
Granted the nature of these projects depend on resonating with their source material so it is not a surprise
I wouldn’t kick it out of my garage, but it would be nice to see a new shade of lipstick

I love the cut and the scratch of the headlights of the J50. Very aggressive and bad. I would appreciate very much if the headlamps that stretch on the wheel arches were abandoned in favor of low and crushed headlights, more horizontally developing.

Murray is very, very focused on weight reduction. Target for the new car is to be lighter than the F1 despite increased mandated safety and pollution equipment.

Although his GMD iStream designs use a hybrid metal/composite construction, T50 will be lightweight CF. Wonder who is supplying V12(?)

Great article on Murray and his design philosophy here:

Actually the headlights of the F8 are quite similar to those of the SP38 - the extension of the shape that reminds the 458/488 headlights is actually an air vent on the F8. We'll see what it will look like on the BB...

So basiclly they are trying to do what Ferrari did in the late 90s with the F50 GT just with a license plate lol their over 20 years behind the times. The World has changed time to show they can foot it in the real world of today. Ferrari unfortunately has made the right move with developing the hybrid platform. No point in wasting time and money developing an out dated format that sadly has no future.
