I'm sure this is highly embarrassing for them, as it should be. Previously, my strategy would have gained Leclerc one position in two different races, and now my strategy MIGHT have gotten him into Q2. This is sad, because I'm not a brilliant F1 strategist - many F1 fans here make me look ignorant - and so it's actually tragic. I'm a musician, FFS. This is the best team Ferrari can put together?

 

Wanna bet - just watch: "we need to review the events and the data, bla, bla, bla..." You do that and get back to us after you've had your butt kicked in the race for the nth time.

At least when Marchionne was around you could maybe hope he'd have somebody's head for this fiasco.

After all the gloom and doom about how bad the car would be here, it looks like it's not that bad and yet they managed to look 3rd rate with driver and team errors. Vettel really needs to retire - he's completely lost the plot. How many crashes is that now in the last year?

I'm.not joking, at this point I would blow up the whole team start from scratch for 2019-2020 now, this season is done. Something is seriously wrong.

 

There is more truth to that statement than you might think.

 

Anybody that thinks Ferrari ISN'T The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight after today's Q1 screw-up seriously needs to get their eyes and/or head examined.

 

The team and one driver are making a decent car look like a bad car.

 

The core issue is simply the politics. They’re ruining the team.

In a nutshell, we "effed-up".

Summary of what Mattia Binotto said:

• Calculation error (misjudgment of cut-off time) has led to Leclerc being out in Q1. Saving one tyre set was also the goal which was another error

• He says they have the right people but they need to improve

Binotto also said that both Vettel and Leclerc have seperate strategy teams so Vettel's difficulties in Q1 didn't have any effect on what happened to Charles.

Vettle is trying to carry the car on his back by taking chancesCurley, Larry and Moe strategy and management have doomed the team to failure. The only hope is for competent outside management to be brought in Italian, German,Asian or Martian.

I don’t have any real insider info other than that general statement. I think it’s pretty evident the team is a one car team and LeClerc won’t be allowed to embarrass Prince Vettel. I have heard that Kimi was the one who set the cars up as Seb is reportedly not great at it. I presume LeClerc hasn't quite had enough time in F1 to get great at setting up the cars. I think this is affecting the team too.

 

Yet another Ferrari facepalm. Why is this allowed to continue. They get millions and millions of charity dollars from all the other teams and repay that generosity by embarrassing the sport. Ridiculous bunch of over paid amateurs. Sack them all.

Mercedes is that good and Ferrari is in that much trouble. The red team has had more than enough time to get their house in order
but they seem to be making things worse. Hamilton's only competition is Bottas and maybe Max. Perhaps papa Stroll can buy Ferrari
and guarantee them fifth place in the series.
