Looks great Greg. I still reckon you should consider a pit of a polish on those manifold runners though. I bought some polishing compound and some polishing wheels myself this week. Amazing how some of these old parts can come up. Just have to ensure I don't go overboard, then everything else starts to look a bit ordinary.
Looks lovely Greg good for you, I have discovered this week that Autoglym resin polish used with a buffing wheel rejuvenates plastic headlight lenses like new [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
you can't polish sand-cast manifolds, you have to plastic bead blast them. Not possible while installed. Personally, I think Greg's engine bay looks fabulous. A little bit of patina is a good thing.
WOW! Looks brilliant Greg. I’d have swapped the alternator for something a little better, but that’s a personal thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A Denso. Those Motorcraft alts have terrible rectifiers and the regs are not the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks mate. I obviously have no idea RE alternators. Basically bought that particular unit because it was available online through a 928 specialist workshop in the US. I don’t have time during the day to go shopping, so ordering online is more convenient. Came with mounting brackets specifically for the 928, so it was easy for a novice like me more than anything else. NFI if it works yet [emoji3]
It’s a motorcraft copy. Similar alt is found on the early 5L V8 Fords. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If they are anything like my 944 Turbo, you will find they will all have equal lengths for optimum intake efficiency. View attachment 2711053 View attachment 2711054
