For the last time, you didnt say

"every reasonable experienced F1 driver is able to win races in the Mercedes"

    You said

"Give Mazepin the amount of races Lewis has and he will be able to win in this car just like everybody else would."

You should keep your insults about "cant read" to yourself it only reflects poorly on you.

    Absolutely right.

But the usual crowd here has to come again and tell us how amazing Elton is. Less than a tenth ahead of Bottas ffs! only his 2nd pole of the season. The car has such an advantage anyone could've been WDC in it. Even Stroll.

There where several years since 2014 where Stroll and a dog (an actual dog) as a teammate he would've won the title. 17-18 anyone half competent would've done also.

I think your hostility towards Hamilton makes you say silly things.
Why do you think Mercedes pays him so much if they know they have such a Superior car "anybody" could win with?

    Point taken.

I should have said "In Desperation people will say silly things"

Pretending that anyone could step in a Mercedes and become WDC seems to me like a ludicrous idea.

Comes with the territory. Remember they had to entice him away from Mclaren, at the time a faster team. That doesn't come cheap. You don't give someone a 30 odd million dollar contract, and when things are getting good you start paying them less.

OK, but your suggestion that anyone, even Stroll could become WDC in a Mercedes is extreme.
Only a handful of drivers could possibly.
I think Hamilton's salary rewards the 4 titles he gave Mercedes too.

This headline is laughable! Charles Leclerc has been sabotaged by the incompetent Ferrari Pit wall and team all season! He has so much potential but their pit strategies and lack of knowledge have cost him almost every race. He needs to be on a team that truly values him and is prepared to help him win instead of being his biggest stumbling block. I think the engine is there but they need a whole new pit management team.

He makes hugely more per season in his current contract then when he was lured over from McLaren. But ANYONE would win the World Driving Championship in his car . . .

To bad that "anyone" didn't know that "this car" was an automatic world champion winner except for Lewis who took a risk at the time when Schumacher couldn't win in the Merc and the team was struggling. Following that logic ;) anyone could have been a billionaire if they just took a partnership with the unknown Bill Gates at Microsoft before the company started. LOL

I think Charles Leclerc should ask his manager to examine the terms of his contract and look for another drive.
Or he can insist on strict parity with Vettel, or he better jump ship, IMO.
His position is untainable if he cannot trust his team.

Where would he jump to? Swap with Ham? Take Gasly's spot? He doesn't have many choices for a good team, unless he pulls a Ricci. He's in the proverbial rock and hard place.

Realistically there are three teams capable of winning grandsprix...Leclerc currently sits in one those 6 seats...driving for the most storied team of them all...as a 21 year old in his sophmore season. Of all the racing drivers in the history of the world, he finds himself in the .0001 percentile as far as being in a privileged position.
It is race 6 of his Ferrari career. While impatience to win is a positive trait for a racing driver, he would be absolutely insane to be looking elsewhere at the moment.

Mercedes do not need him (incidentally I not convinced that the 2nd Mercedes driver is not currently stronger and driving at higher than both Ferrari drivers) and Red Bull has never hired an active F1 driver outside their system...

Ferrari will not favor Vettel much longer if it proves unwarranted. Charles need only to keep his head down, drive fast and apply the pressure - if he does this every week, any team orders will very quickly become untenable. Enduring a bit a short term frustration is a extremely small price to pay, given the potential rewards if Ferrari can get the right puzzle pieces in the right place.

    Agree.

Jump ship? Now? A handful of races into the season? He's only on his 2nd year in F1 and been given a very hard to come by drive in a top team. Start moving now and risk becoming another Hulkenberg. Unless Mercedes where to offer him a drive, completely unwise to move today. Especially from a team that's been financing his junior career...

Obviously he cannot change immediatly, but his manager (if he doesn't do it already), should start networking and contact other teams.

A team move is often orchestrated years in advance, but you must create the lines of communications, make your intentions known, feel the ground, see what some team are planning for the future in terms of technical team, engine suppliers, sponsors, etc ...

I don't think Leclerc should stay 5 years or more at Ferrari (like Alonso and Vettel did) if the situation doesn't improve, and there is no sign it will.

Elton, if you remember without the mental block his fans have, was having issues with button at McLaren, who was matching him, sinking to the level of publishing team data on Twitter and other such nonsense, and wasn’t that season the one he accused the stewards at Monaco of punishing him ‘because i is black’ ?

Mercedes came along with their promises of the potential of the new rules and their agreements with the FIA, and with the input of Michael Schumacher who had been developing the car with the impetus on the new regulations, and, of course, as he was doing no better than anyone else, and as per everyone else, getting his ass kicked by Vettel week in, week out. Of course, it also helped no other team in the pit lane even approached him to drove for them, and Sky were handily rebuffed by red bulls Christian Horner when they claimed Elton wanted to drive for them and Horner laughed at the stupid suggestion, stating that they already had a better driver (at the time 3 time champ Vettel).

He went to Mercedes with his tail between his legs, having burnt his bridges at McLaren. Ask anyone at McLaren at the time, they will tell you that the majority of the team were pissed off with his attitude and ********. Mercedes was the only team in town, and looking for a marketing edge, and Bernie was instrumental. He didn’t have any great personal insight into anything, he did what he was told by lauda and Wolff, and lucked out, that’s it, pure and simple.
