Hi Has anyone managed to connect their iphone to carplay wirelessly? Ive tried holding the voice command button down whilst in the iphone carplay menu, but so far unsuccessful. I dislike having to connect my phone via the lightning cable inside the centre arm rest. Thanks!
Not sure if I am reading this correctly. I have hooked my F12 to my iPhone via blue tooth (Phone and Music can play), but it doesn't connect via CarPlay (Meaning you will not get the iPhone apps like you do when you connect to the cable in the center compartment). Doesn't work that way, car play does not work if you are not plugged in, but you can have the standard bluetooth connection by going through the pairing menu on the phone screen.
The F12 implementation of car play doesn’t support wireless CarPlay only wired via the cable in the central arm rest. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
If you don’t mind me highjacking the threat, I was told that the GTC4Lusso supported Wireless CarPlay but I can’t seem to get it to work wirelessly. Anyone has success?
I didn't think Ferrari supported it yet.. but if so: Set up CarPlay Follow these steps to get started: 1.) Make sure that you're in an area that supports CarPlay and that your car supports CarPlay. 2.) Start your car, then make sure that Siri is on via your iPhone. Connect your iPhone to your car: 3.) If your car supports CarPlay via USB cable, plug your iPhone into the USB port in your car. The USB port might be labeled with a CarPlay icon or a smartphone icon. 4.) If your car supports wireless CarPlay, press and hold the voice-command button on your steering wheel. Make sure that your stereo is in wireless or Bluetooth mode. Then on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap Available cars, then select your car. Check your car manual for more information.
Thanks guys. Yes seems it only works wired, only certain cars support wireless CarPlay at this stage. I wish someone could invent a wireless CarPlay dongle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
