Great advice. We have a place in Dallas for dry aged beef, and another in Plano, but I don't recall how much pork they have. Gotta look into it. T
Time to put on my big boy pants and try a pizza in the BGE. It's been a long while since I have done so. I had to rush things a bit and keep temps higher than I wanted, as a big T storm fired up and blew threw as I was setting up the Egg. Image Unavailable, Please Login Store bought. I had a coupon. Goofed. The "after" pic above is not the feta and chard pizza. Here it is. Image Unavailable, Please Login I thought it was going to be charred chard, because the wind was a-howling & I had the Egg cranked at full bore to get it done ASAP. Worked out OK though. T
Pizza looks great! We went out for some fish and chips. I love this place - open since 1946. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I looked at a speedboat. Took my dad with me. My mom made us spaghetti and meatballs. That was worth spoiling the diet for.
Looks tasty. And, nutritious. So, how's corn this summer? We've been largely avoiding it, as we have two corn plants in the garden. One ear looks to be a week or two away from being done. T
Pecan Lodge Dallas. Line around the block . Didnt get a chance to get the big beed rib and it was sold out . The trio meat plate was good , especially the jalapeno sausage. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It looks good and sure it was, but I don’t wait in lines over a few people deep. Especially lines around the block. Not enough patience and would settle for something 90% as good down the road. Or cook at home for just as good!
That place lives up to the hype. Some of the best sausage in this area. If you're still in the area, Lockhart Smokehouse is also very good IMO. If you do, and they have it, smoked prime rib is worth a taste...T
I give those folks credit, the line moves pretty fast. At least it did when the wife and I went during a weekday lunch hour. T
Honestly, I don't remember. I did it asian style, minus the Chinese 5-Spice because I forgot I was out.
Back on salads...…. I'm spoiling my dog. I've been adding mackerel from a can to his food. Noticed canned lobster, it was on sale, so he's now getting lobster.
Cheated on diet again...… Cheeseburger, poutine and a coke at Triple O's. Its a chain here started by a restaurant chain here too. The restaurant is famous for its secret sauce on its burgers. They named the fast food place after the sauce.
Lots of good stuff being shared here lately gents! We have been busy with packing up the Scottsdale place and getting up to Wyoming for summer. Finally settled in and rejoining the thread. Also eating way healthier nowadays, lost 14 pounds over the past couple of months. Another 11 to go and then perhaps another 20 after that. Ania made this dish of cauliflower “rice” with spices, onion and red bell pepper. Seared shrimp on top. Pretty darn good. (Apologies for the poor lighting in the pic) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bad Max!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Relatively quick and easy chili. Brown ground beef in one pan. Use a little of the rendered fat from ground beef to sweat down diced celery and onions. Add in Williams chili powder and a smidgen of salt. Serve over rice. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Yum. Any additional details on the spices added to cauliflower rice? Did it cover the taste of cauliflower? Missus bought a big bag of it at Costco (because it's good for you! ) a while back. Pretty much every I made, just tasted like cauliflower. Blech. T
