So... at the risk of asking a stupid question, is there any need to disconnect the battery before installing new birdman fuse blocks? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Easily done by disconnecting the red connector (ground strap) under the front hood on the left Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It's an amusing question, it would be far more stupid to not ask and do it wrong. So. Don't feel bad about asking. Also, take a few pictures before you get started. Label all the wires the way Birdman's instructions suggest. Take it slowly and you'll do fine. Good luck!
Thanks all... I assumed I should, but was surprised I didn’t see that as the very first step in any of the tutorials. Anyhow, done and done! Amazing how much more power is getting to the windows and fans! Here’s a few shots of the installation... Great job! I've had these exact Birdman fuse blocks for my '84 308 for 2 years now just sitting on the bench, I've really got to get on the ball.........
If I might make a suggestion, install a battery cut-off switch at the frame where the ground strap connects. It's very easy to do and makes it convenient to isolate the battery at any time.
