I’ve heard from 2 dealers now that they expect the Lusso to get an update this year. Has anyone else heard this?

I find that hard to believe. I would imagine a Lusso replacement in Geneva earliest, and the F8 Spider in Paris.

It sounded a bit ambitious. I wonder what the next 3 left this year will be though..

Starting I believe q3 the lusso is shipping with the surround camera option and it looks like they may now support android. The new code is SMRT vs The old CarPlay code. Perhaps this is the update?

Camilleri said during the earnings call that 5 new cars would launch this year. He said this does not include the Pista Spyder. So we have the F8, SP90, and 3 more... He also said during those calls that the hybrid car would launch in May and it was going to be a V8. Since that came true, I assume he’s not messing with us on the next 3.. I think most feel the V6 hybrid will launch later this year I guess he alluded to that. Still leaves 2 more.

Well, someone mentioned "Surround view Camera (SURR)".
Then we have "Active Cruise Control" also (seems to be standard).
There also seems to be a new version of AFS - "Adaptiv Front Light System with SBL function (AFS2)" (not sure what SBL is though - anyone?).
I have not seen the "Rear preparation for iPad mini (IPA2)" - but it may have been there before?
I also noticed "Advanced Front Driving Camera (FCAM)" - I have no idea what that is, maybe a fancy name for ACC (Active Cruise Control)?

Of the things here, I can't see these being a possibility

812 Barchette/Spider. They have done the Monza, so that's pretty much taken care of.
Portofino Coupé. Isn't that pretty much a Lusso T?

All I can see within a year, is Little Brother, F8 Spider, Lusso replacement.

No, Camilleri clearly said that will not launch till 2022. It was pushed back and he told share holders on that same call earlier this year he didn’t mind being last to the market with an SUV, it had to be right. I hope we never see that thing..

As for the Lusso replacement I hope they make it sexy and desirable or it will fail
Plus it would be nice to see a 750hp V12 option and No shooting break design

Not doubting the Porto coupe release, but why would you want a new Portofino Coupe when you can have a brand new Portofino for at or below its price?

Plenty of brand new Portofinos sitting on dealer lots.

What is this 812 Spider or Barchetta you are all talking about? Is it a regular production car like the Berlinetta or is it a limited version like the 599SA?

I think they will keep the shooting brake style - anything else kind of defeats its purpose, especially if they plan to launch a coupè version of the Portofino. A Portofino coupè is still a concept I can't wrap my head around. Isn't that sort of a baby Lusso T or just a Maserati Gran Coupè with a little horsey on the front?

I do however hope they make a nice 750hp+ V12 Lusso successor and I truly hope they tighten it up again so it gets more sporty like the FF. Boy did the V12 Lusso dissapoint me with how soft it had gone. I hope they bring back the sporty 4 seater, and let Mercedes, Bentley, Rolls and Porsche handle the soft and numb segment.

    All subjective but :

The Lusso sportyness for me lies in the T, neither not soft nor numb.

A Portofino coupe could work but it would need to be more than just a fixed head , but more focused, with 4 wheel steer and aggresive tuning. I would say lighter too but nothing is really light these days.

For the next 4 seater, hell yes keep the shooting break configuration. The boots/trunks on the 456 and 612 were too small for decent touring. Nor indeed the transport of long guns.
Its a small niche, but Ferrari own it.

    Yes, absolutely subjective :)

Is the Lusso T really that different? My "cousin-in-law" and I had that discussion during a drive in the V12 a few weeks ago.

It will definitely be interesting to see what will come.

In my opinion the T is indeed sportier and the better drive. Its not a 488, its a two ton wagon, but my word you can chuck it about.
Lots and lots of people prefer the V12 though, some are owners but also a lot of 'traditionalist/purists' when have driven or owned neither.

Yes, let's see what comes, I do hope the FUV doesn't extinguish the proud line of 4 seat Ferraris.
