Yes, Euro
why do people like carbon inserts on a car that's not actually made of carbon? I cringe at lotus elise owners who put carbon appliques over the aluminum interior pieces. same with Ferrari. its an aluminum car, why cover it in cf?
Looks cool feels cool. Showing I cam afford? It is pointless unless it is free option until a car with full carbon shows up next to you. I find it important to stay away from contacting full optioned cars after my cheap built car arrives. If I see one, suddenly my cheap car feels more cheap lol I find it interesting mat carbon costs more but looks and feels cheaper. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
From the Dealer manual: For the first time on a Ferrari, uncompromising clients can chose between the standard car and a version with a more extreme, sports-oriented specification. The Assetto Fiorano specification includes significant upgrades (Table 8), including: Handling: special GT racing-derived Multimatic shock absorbers optimised for track use. These replace the magnetorheological shocks with active damping control in the standard version Weight: a further 30 kg weight-saving compared the already-lightweight standard version, thanks to the use of high-performance materials such as carbon-fibre (door panels, underbody) and titanium (springs, entire exhaust line). Aero: carbon-fibre rear spoiler High performance tyres4: road-homologated Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres designed specifically to improve performance on the track in the dry. They feature a softer compound and fewer grooves than the tyres provided as standard. Livery: dedicated two-tone livery to underscore the specification’s racing soul (available as an optional content). ASSETTO FIORANO: MAIN CONTENT Titanium exhaust line Aluminium shock absorbers Titanium road springs Carbon-fibre rear spoiler (fixed and mobile) in carbon-fibre Carbon-fibre aerodynamic underbodies Carbon-fibre door panels Carbon-fibre rear tunnel unit Carbon-fibre upper rear bench trim No glove compartment Carbon-fibre sides in pedal area Lexan back window High performance tyres (check market availability) «Assetto Fiorano» moniker on inside carbon-fibre sill Racing Livery (optional content, only in combination with Assetto Fiorano)
Does the Assetto Package have a higher rake rear spoiler ?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, the carbon fibre rear spoiler in the Assetto Fiorano is (much) higher than the standard spoiler. The standard spoiler ends in the exactly same line of the brake light. The Assetto Fiorano spoiler is ~10cm above brake light. It improves the downforce. From the Press Release: "Another difference is the high downforce carbon-fibre rear spoiler which generates 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h".
And how much is the downforce at 250 km/h with the standard version? There are lots of questionmarks regarding the Assetto Fiorano package. e g. what is MODIS code FIO1 and FIO2 exactly? what is the benefit of the Multimatic shock absorbers? Will it still be possible to adjust the damping as it works in the other models with a bumpy road button? How about front lift? Will there be similar delivery problems/cancelations of orders due to the Multimatic dampers from Kanada as it has been and still is with the carbon wheels from Australia?
I think this article does a pretty good job of explaining the Multimatic shocks. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a15344953/from-f1-to-baja-multimatics-clever-spool-valve-dampers-explained/
Thanks a lot for the link! Best tech information about the Multimatic dampers so far! Good point for the Assetto Fiorano.
I saw a new option in the F8 list (racing package, EUR 8880) but I have no clue what it is (apart from being relatively cheap compared to the Assetto Fiorano). Besides, when the 360 CS was presented there were two options - Ferrari might have forgotten but one had sliding lexan windows (the sports spec) while the other had winding glass windows...
Just some inaccuracies in my post above - the new option is actually called "performance pack" and is priced EUR 7800 with the 20% VAT (6500 ex VAT).
you can find the content of Assetto Fiorano package on page 50 of the product communication, already posted in 'Ferrari SF90 Stradale Picture and news thread': https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-sf90-stradale-picture-and-news-thread.601069/page-59#post-146667146
No mention whether the pack includes the forged wheels, but I assume it does with carbon wheels being the upgrade? Also, is anyone aware whether the forged wheels will be offered in non diamond cut and optional finishes (black, silver, gold)?
Do people think this pack will replace special series going forward ? ie does SF90 Stradale Asseto Fiorano = 488 Pista ?
