    Bloody Hell, Greg. Good effort!

I was going to change the spark plugs on the OHOS today but I discovered that although I have the right socket I don’t have the right extension.
I then discovered that I’m too lazy to go down the road to buy one, so I changed the man filter instead and came inside and poured a scotch... :D

To be fair I had already replaced the old fluoro lights in the garage with new LEDs so that’s enough for one day...

I just had the same lights installed. Bloody awesome, although one of them is noisy.

That’s odd. Wonder why that would be?
These have three different settings (3000k, 4000k, and 5000k).

Yes. Plastic end bit comes off on one end. Just poke the catch with a small screwdriver and slide the end off. Then slide the main plastic diffuser back about half way. Switch is right there.
Whole process takes about a minute.

Righto chaps, time for another couple of stupid questions.
I’ve been to the shop and bought the extension I needed.
Have successfully changed two plugs so far, but

    1) What is this weird black rubbery jelly like stuff attached to the coil (or whatever it’s called)?
When I pull them out I seem to be “breaking” a seal made of this stuff.

    2) How do I stop the socket getting stuck to the plug so that when I withdraw the extension after tightening, the socket comes off and is stuck way down in the hole? It’s taken a lot of fiddling, swearing and praying to wriggle it out of the two I’ve done so far.
Surely there’s a way of avoiding this?
