Expected. The single clutch in the SVJ is the achilles heel.

The PZ4C is not less aggressive than the Cup 2 for the Pista. And the GT2 RS comes with either Dunlop Maxx Race 2 which is somewhat comparable to the Cup 2 and PZC4,or it comes with Cup2 R tyres, whjch are comparable to Trofeo R tyres.

Not really. The gearbox of the SVJ is as quick as a double clutch, perhaps even quicker (around 40 ms). It is just a lot more abrupt in everyday driving.

Pista's Tach still appears to miss hitting 8000 between shifts. The closest it came to 8k was the shift into 4th.

And F8 only half a second quicker that 488? But a full second slower than Pista.

Driver is shortshifting to find balance between torque and control.
Yes 8000 will be sweet but I doubt it is usable at all.
They should have said 7500 and change rev count design with not 10000 but 9000 at the end.

It didn't look or sound like short shifting to me - more a case of the driver seeking to achieve Vmax using peak revs in each gear. The auto changes occurred @ 7800 - 7900rpm which is good enough. An 8000 redline isn't necessary due to the huge torque available but as Pista has both media and Ferrari often quoting 8000rpm as being available - as was the case with 488gtb - yet nobody else could ever get 8000 - thought it interesting to mention.

Peak RPM don't really matter in turbochaged engines. Even in F1 drivers short-shift.

He short shifts for sure several times and you can see the car still has more than enough power to pull out of the corners very fast even short shifting. There’s time left in that lap too.

That statement makes no sense. In the Pista the peak power output is at the peak rpm of 8000. So if you want the full power of the Pista access to the peak revs matters. The peak in-gear acceleration is at 3k RPM where the peak torque is delivered.

It is what I wrote. The 488 Pista lapped the Hockenhaim GP in CUP2 R, while the time setted by AMuS with GT2RS and 720 are done with no R compound tires (PZC4 / CUP2). The Pirelli corsa is produced at less than 10 km from where I live actually ... ;-)

Yes, we are watching the same vid but talking about two different content then.

I meant he short shift when doing hot lap not vmax attack. Yes 8000 is just marketing. Your observation is correct.
