    Hey Y'all,

I’m ordering a custom-sized bicycle (Parlee XD) and want to paint the frame in Rosso Fuoco to match my 812. Does anyone know the process to create their triple-layer paints? In particular, I’d like to know what colors or colors of metallic flakes are use in the Rosso Fuoco formula.

I'm going to ask a few body shops that specialize in exotics but I'm hoping someone here may know about the process.

    Thanks!

Those three layers paints are tricky to get a good consistent result with. Very informative article there!

How else can one achieve a tank worthy of a rock star?

    Interesting read
    Thanks for that

A good paint shop that use PPG can paint your frame. A member of the staff at our local Ferrari dealer had his Caterham done in Fuoco. Looks absolutely perfect - a lot better than any Ferrari or Zanasi paint job I've ever seen.

Ferrari is far from unique in using these tri layers paints, they are just the most expensive. When ordering the paint from PPG, PPG will basically have a list of what the painter needs and in which order to shoot the paint. So, as was said, find a good painter that uses PPG, prep your frame and have them paint it. Considering how much you spend on your bike, don't mess it up by doing it yourself.
