I agree, Icona will have it's own section and I will move threads and rename accordingly, but not until the next Icona model is released. For now the Monza is understandably linked to the 812, but once the next Icona model is revealed, the Monza will clearly be in a new family. It's not that I do not trust Ferrari, I just want to see what they have before we commit to a new forum.

That seems entirely reasonable. Thanks for thinking about the request! :)

Build for Fangio in 1956 the 290MM was the inspiration for this design. As with all these homage cars, some work better than others. I don't think this Monza SP2 version was built for a 'customer'. I wonder if this is a prototype or if it counts toward the production cars total?

but the fender shields were bigger on the original :)

Isn't that nifty, certainly a standout livery. Thank you for sharing that "64" picture!

notice the rearview mirror in the middle. certainly they are detachable along with the sp2's rear wind-screen. these are the show cars and they didn't have them ; installed during the cavalcade.

For $1.8mm you’d think there would be a tonneau cover included?

Or is that just a strange visual artifact?

On my small iPad it looks like a windscreen!

Not a windscreen. It is the cut in the bonnet that makes it look like one

The 'lighthouse' destination during the final day of the Capri Cavalcade? There were no pictures shared from that part of the tour!

So happy to see that transporters in all parts of the world wear the same outfits. LOL
