Gio was a really nice kid when I met him last month. Seems much younger than he is.

He seems very down to earth. I don't think he raced at all last year so to be expected to get his groove back a bit. He's been making good progress so far this year, especially the last few GPs.

I don't think Giovinazzi is up to the job. He finished most of his races in 15th or 16th position.
    Austria was a one-off, I think, the was 10th.
People like to slagg off Stroll here, but Lance finishes more often in the points that Giovinazzi, and has scored 6pts, to Gio just one so far.
I think their cars are on the same level of performance.

yeah, but Stroll is in his 3rd year of F1 now. Gio didn't race last year. Limited experience of these tyres and so on. Give him some time before writing him off IMO.

In fact when I look the last full season he's done was 2016 GP2....then he had the 2 races in F1, and been a test driver ever since. Not even a handful of races in LMP2 and GTE combined.

So all things considered he's doing quite well.
