    Yep, I dropped my time by nearly 5 seconds at QR .......... but I was running TRX tyres so anything other than wooden tyres would have been an improvement

    You're correct.

    I bought Toyo R888s for track use and was staggered at the difference.

    On a track, it actually does become a safety issue. You will outdrive the suspension/roadholding on normal road tyres.

    R spec tyres allow you to fully exploit the ontrack capability, pace and speed in much greater safety.

    The work I wanted done on the OHOS is now complete.
    It’s got new front M sport suspension, new rear brakes, new wheels and tyres, plus all the mechanical work I’ve done (plugs, filters etc.)
    With all that and a transmission service and basic service, I’m $5k all in, including buying the car!
    It drives really nicely now, and my supervisors love riding in it. :D
