    On our last cruise we were on the way to Alaska, at the first stop 2 sea planes crashed into each other. On board were 16 people from our cruise ship and unfortunately 5 were killed.

    Last week we treated to a number of fly pasts of the US Raptor and Aussie fighter jets at eye level if you were sitting on the surfclub veranda. ;) Various groups of 2, 4, 6 planes. Very impressive.

    When the first 2 came by somebody commented "Oh, our airforce is out today" to which someone replied "Na, that must be NZ's - we've got four planes haven't we?"

    Interesting Air Crash Investigation (non crash in this case tonight).

    One of your mob (CP),about 6 years ago nearly succumbed to dodgy filtered fuel.
    Aircraft landed ok in HK after both engines failed due to a refueling filter failing.

    Both pilots awarded achievement recognition/medals.
