Personally, I don't believe ugly & Corvette belong in the same sentence. You may not like it, and that's your prerogative, but it won't be ugly. Any number of other descriptive adjectives may apply, but ugly is not one of them. Kind of presumptuous calling something ugly that you haven't seen yet, is it not?
No matter its appearance, I can't help but believe a bevy of companies (Calloway, Mansory, etc.) will release a re-body of some sort, beyond tacked on bits. Seems the perfect platform for such a thing.

It will be nice for someone to immediately start a C8 Official Picture thread as soon as it does so when I get up Friday morning I only have to look at one thread for all pix and C8 info. I vote for John to start the thread!
Ha, thanks, but I think it should be someone on the West Coast, as they'll be awake. I'll be snoozing immediately after the launch.
This might hold you over till Thursday: https://macsmotorcitygarage.com/video-the-1965-corvette-mako-shark-ii/?fbclid=IwAR0OiCwTrJLB3ZYLJdzKXldG0ahJwN616ZDxJYpmDwVxsqEFJnkUeqVtbM8
EXCELLENT 1965 Mako Shark but wrong motor location! Some of this flavour would be nicer > Image Unavailable, Please Login

^^^^^^ And ONLY $2,109,870 US dollars. And... A BRITISH electric car...what could go wrong? Not be Debbie Downer, but we've seen a pile of really cool Lotus "future" cars over the years, and we're still waiting for them. I hope they can make it, I hope they sell all 130 of them, I hope I get to see one in the flesh one day, just call me skeptical.
I completely agree. Lotus is just spitting in the wind here looking to "be somebody" again. But it does show there's a better way to make a sports car look over what we believe the C8 is to look like. The C8 is way overly fussy with lines and creases. The C7 suffers from the same disease. Look at the Mako Shark above. How could something so good looking end up where it is today? Will people buy the C8? Sure. No question. Price / value will be key to its success. But from what they have shown for far, its going to look like someone took a C7, a Lambo Aventador, a Ferrari 360, and any McLaren, dropped it in a blender and baked a cake. It looks like we've seen it all before rather than something new. Considering this was a clean sheet project, it's disappointing they relied so much on the past.
I believe so. I recall commenting on the color and the absence of the black boomerang trim piece on the side. Someone else mentioned all the creases on the hood.
