Good question but "tailor made" doesn't have capitol letter either... Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are low miles 488s in uk going for a little more than the price of a 6 year old 458 spider- i see the 488 price dropping to less than the 458 spider
Wow, that is an outstanding deal. My local non-Ferrari dealer has a ‘17 488 Spider with less than 1,000 miles for sale at $299K and a ‘13 458 Spider with 8,000 miles for sale at $209K. He just sold a ‘17 488 Spider with 2,800 miles for $295K.
For all having forgotten, 4 years ago the first 488 GTB sold for less than the last delivered 458 spiders (comparing actual list prices of new cars delivered at the same time). It's funny to read how maintaining this gap would be a good performance for the residuals of a 458 spider and a bad one for the 488 GTB.
Wait about 2 to 3 years and check out the resale prices for the F8. The days of Fcars holding value are gone.
He is, but what do you mean by pay off? It's a $445K sticker, so, between this and his 2019 812 that he wants gone too, realistically, if he sells both NOW, he MIGHT lose around $250K, but probably more. So, even if that gets you in the door for the next greatest car, is that a pay off...? Or decimation? Lol. It'll get even worse the longer the hold, as some have mentioned, shoot, even on a 20-25 year cycle, say rock bottom is 10-12 years away on 488's, then a painful and extremely slow "rebound" could literally take forever, or not even happen...A race to the bottom!
Car sales generally in the UK are well down, especially Diesels- yet a modern diesel is very clean exhaust wise. Over 120 488s for sale and not moving, with the way this climate change movement is going in Europe i see the days of supercars being curbed by much higher taxes, which is going to impact on prices in general. I certainly would not buy shares in Ferrari or Aston Martin for the long term.
Google Ferrari tailor made and you'll get the official version as "Ferrari Tailor-Made" https://auto.ferrari.com/en_US/news-events/news/ferrari-tailor-made/
Interesting details there, thanks for the link. However I will stick with the 'name on the studio'... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't disagree on the F8 but remember this will be the VERY LAST REAR V8 petrol FERRARI. Once its gone its gone forever.
Just buy what you can afford, get car insurance, and enjoy... life is too short. There will always be a “last of”, question is if you stop and wait for that moment train will pass you by without any memories or enjoyment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its ok. Some dude driving a horse and buggy 100 years ago also cried about the same thing. Technology moves on. We will adapt.
Sold my ‘19 for low 3’s after sitting for over 3 mos. The ‘18 will be lucky to not have a 2 in front, no matter how TM’d it is. He will not get out with his skin on this one. That one will leave a mark.
So, what's the best case vs worst case? A dealer on here mentioned 275 or so would be realistic (but, thats selling to a dealer), think it could bring $315 or so with that sticker? or is it a "it is what it is" scenario at this point. I have to break the bad news today lol
what are you killing brain cells - is he unable to go to market and figure out how to transact? the number you communicate is irrelevant to real life.
Ricky, I'm trying to help him sell it. Let me kill brain cells how I choose Apparently, no, he is NOT able to figure it out, and my aim is to bring reality to the table...
thats hysterical someone can spend 800k on cars but cant figure out how to go to the dealer, get a trade in price, and then list it for 20% more and hope it sells....
