Hi, guys. First post here. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this: https://www.scottsdaleferrari.com/details-2018-ferrari-488_spider-convertible-used-zff80ama0j0236291.html Any opinions? Thanks!
There's this one at 10K cheaper. http://inventory.cauleyferrari.com/2017-ferrari-488-spider-c-298.htm?make=FERRARI&type=ALL& Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not an expert on US pricing by any means, but I would think there's a bit of wiggle room on that one. Definitely think the black interior works better than tan. Rosso Corsa on tan is just way too common and "bland" for me. At least the black/red interior steps it up a bit and takes it out of that "My-first-Ferrari" Red on tan spec, Has a fair bit of the expensive CF options, so that's nice, and the seats are great. As said, I suspect that the price can be wiggled down, especially considering the F8 launch is just around the corner in early September.
World is really your oyster if you are shopping for pre owned 488 GTB or spider, all just comes down to your preference for spec, which options are must haves for you, and what speaks to you based on what's around. Then find comps in pricing and head to negotiating table, there is a lot of inventory. F8 spider coming in Sept, I would leverage that too because the dealers know
It’s wonderfully optioned with one exception: The red inserts in the door panels are made from Alcantara, whereas the lower dashboard part is plain red leather. I wonder how this could happen...?
i struggle why you wld opt to buy a 488 spider right now - get a higher mile 458 spider and have a better value...488 spider gets you know brownie points with the dealer, 458 is a better drive all around, and it wont cost you 100K plus there are 114 pre owned 488 spiders available at ferrari.com!!!! i wldnt touch one with a 20 foot pole right now.
To say that the 458 Spider is a better drive all around, is a hugely subjective statement. In my experience, it is far from it actually. Yes, it's an N/A engine, but everything else is just not as good. The 488 Spider is a lot stiffer, and you don't shake and rattle down the road while chasing the steering column. The power output is so sweet in the 488, it's so responsive and punchy. And the chassis just feels so much more sorted and sporty. As I have said before, I'm in the camp that is not hugely impressed by the 458 sound, so everything else is not as "tainted" by the sound for me, and I cannot see where from a drivers perspective, the 458 is better. We don't have to agree on which car is best, but I think we can agree that it's a very subjective matter
no question about it...why wldnt they? market is going to be flooded for a while. 2015 458 spiders are in the 180s now, 160s wholesale. you tell me what im smoking and why.
Thanks for all the advice. 458 is obviously a beautiful car but 488 is hard to ignore. Dealer at $305k, which includes delivery to Michigan. I’ll hold tight for now.
Great spec . You are aware that it is ROSSO CORSA METALAZIATO . The other car is only RC.There is an extra charge for the RCM paint and was the release model colour. I have it on my 488 GTB . I love it. Many will tell you not worth the extra cost but I say it is. Having 35 years experience in resins/paint i can tell you RC at certain angles will look dull. The RCM doesn't do this. It has GREAT depth. The metallic is barely visible but the depth is great. My next car IF will be F8 and again I will specify RCM
Keep in mind that could be a consignment car, which is why the dealer won't budge as the owner may not know the true market price for the car.
Pictures don’t do that color justice. you have to see it in person. Regardless of the price trajectory in the future this is a well specced 488. I would make a serious offer at your highest comfortable Price and walk away they will come back. if it is a consignment car they will work on the owner on price especially as time goes on.
They’re now at $300k with delivery. I currently own a 2017 911 gts cab which I’d probably keep as my three kids under 7 love going for rides.
500 bucks says your wrong. 2018 Ferrari 488 Spyder (say mid MSRP 340k ) will never go for 185 retail in 2 years BET? Put your money up my friend!
Here is a very similar car without the Alcantara on the doors. https://www.ferrarili.com/2018-ferrari-488-spider-c-13932.htm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FWIW , I’m not a red fan but the black interior and options make her a beauty. Good luck , you will love the car. Best , Kirk.
FWIW that one doesnt have the race seats, forged wheels, or sill covers in black (if that matters to OP) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
