That's a bit strange .... the early spiders had a 2000 all alloy engine and the Bertone bodied coupe cars had the 2400 cast iron engine Will need to check my book as no-one trusts that lefty Wiki info But it's better than a Ferrari as it would have had a nicer gearbox that worked from cold as opposed to the useless gearboxes Ferrari made My 2300S gearbox was the nicest gearchange I EVER used, and smooth as silk from dead cold ............... of course Satan's gearbox is nice when hot but never as nice as the 2300 box
Hmm RHD conversion. There used to be a bloke south of Sydeney doing those about a hundred years ago, wonder if this is one. There's a couple of nice things in that auction already.
Yep, all were LHD If done properly, I wouldn't have an issue with the conversion. In fact, would add value for me as I'd never buy a LHD car
The bloke who did them was around the Moruya area I recall...he did coupes as well.,'cos he sold them when finished and I was a bit interested.........but never had the dosh.
Here's the listing so far, added to in the past coupla hours.............watch out for Gazz. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2019-shannons-sydney-winter-classic-auction/ Left hook TR. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2019-shannons-sydney-winter-classic-auction/K3FUD8P9402W8R8/ .................and something for the erhhm...well heeled. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2019-shannons-sydney-winter-classic-auction/H2W87J7LTCF67FC/
The Testarossa guiding range is seriously dreaming I liked the XB until I saw the engine bay pic, hilarious how much space there is. Needs a 351 Image Unavailable, Please Login
The series one alloy block 2 litre cars looked nicer, knock off wheels, a better front grille, but the series II 2.4 is actually the rarer and better version. Love it !!
That Fiat, it’s not what you’d call handsome is it Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Think the left hooker TR is the one the museum has been trying to offload for years....Been through multiple auctions already. ...Why would you pay that much when you can buy a good one in the US for 80 K ?
Here's the perfect engine for your TR project Pat.... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-1968-1973-365-v-12-daytona-engine-assembly.603893/
