My guess is that if they didn't announce the weight yet, it's going to be very heavy. Isn't weight commonly revealed when cars are launched?

    Nice pictures.
In the background we can see what Ferrari calls “Pilota Plant” according to last year’s Capital Market day presentation. To my understanding it’s a building which was refurbished and extended. Does anyone have further information what this “Pilota Plant” is exactly meant to be? Is it a kind of new assembly line for more limited cars (e.g. Icona series)?

Are batteries part of the wet or dry spec?

    Analogous to fuel...?

Unfortunately, there is no international standard at what components need to be included. My opinion is common sense dictates battery should be part of dry weight since the electrical charge for a full or empty battery is negligible.

Of course they are. Dry weight is what the name implies; the car without fluids. For comparative purposes, the Pista's quoted dry weight is 1280 kilos.

You would think it is part of the dry weight, but as Paul says above there is very little standardisation of what dry weight means. There was a time not long ago when Italians even removed the battery acid from dry weight. SF90's being Lithium ion, they left the electrolyte in when weighing!

More info in this Evo article:

    https://www.evo.co.uk/features/21040/what-is-kerb-weight-and-how-much-does-your-car-weigh

Unfortunately, until, someone reputable like Quattroruote tests the car in running order with fluids etc, we won't know for sure what the story with SF90 weight is since claimed dry weights are subject to marketing spin.

Dry weight should exclude only consumables i.e. fuel, oil, coolant, brake and transmission fluid, wiper fluid, etc. Battery weight will definitely be included in the 1570kg specified dry weight.

USA curb weight includes all fluids including full tank of fuel, excludes passengers and cargo
DIN kerb weight is same except fuel tank 90% full
    EU kerb weight = DIN + 75kg for passenger/cargo

That's a good question, but I seems a more basic question is whether the weight quoted for the TDF is accurate in the first place. A thread going back some time where owners here have weighed that car suggests 1415kg is too low. See

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145352889

There, one person says their TDF weighed 1690kg with half a tank of fuel plus fluids. Which puts the dry weight around 100kg less at 1590kg, which is 175kg more than the dry weight claimed by Ferrari.

So its difficult to treat the factory claimed weight as gospel.

Regardless of how heavy the car turns out to be, Ferrari has a track record for making heavy cars handle like they are much lighter. Just look at F12/tdf/812 etc.
