I am. Great shopping trolley for a house wide though. Does painting up a corolla and putting a wing on it make it a porsche too? Lol
What globes did you buy? Let us know how they do. Apart from being white, I haven't found globes to be that great. I used trucklite headlights.
Pay no attention to him - this is how he make friends (it hasn't worked yet). BTW, love your driveway - far more interesting than concrete
I would submit that the Cayman Turbo - with two seats in a mid-engine configuration - is more of a pure sports car than a 911.
Thank you. I'm OK everyone is entitled to their opinion and press their car experiences on the forum. Agree the mid engine config is superior. Porsche has a problem in that due to the hierarchy of the line up the Cayman cannot be built to outperform the 911. Porsche's endurance 911 race cars have been modified moving the engine forward to the point that its in front of the rear axle making them technically mid engine to better balanced and able to compete but also to accommodate a larger diffuser. I have a Boxster Spyder which I really love and feel with NA engine, non electric steering, manual, light weight roadster is a great drivers car. I love all my cars for many/different reasons but the Spyder is so easy to drive and makes the driver better. Well good news lol the GT3RS is going back as I need room to move in a new (to me) 512 TR Sorry but the GT3 touring is staying as it is my daily driver and I'm really enjoying it.
Maybe you didn't read my post properly. A GT3 is a Porsche. A Boxster or Cayman is just a cheap intimidator. It may as well be a Toyota. My theory is any time you have to explain, it's not the real thing. "Hi...is that a 911?" "No....but it's better...honest!" "Is that a Mustang?" "NO....it's a Ferrari...it's better...honest" lol
My GT4. Flushed out and replaced coolant. Replaced brake fluid. Installed new oil sump cover gasket, oil and filter. Installed new gearbox sump cover gasket and Redline oil. A few more details to go but she seems to be ready for my drive up to Monterey from LA on Hwy 1. Having a Ferrari in Monterey for car week--what fun!
Remember when these seat covers 1st hit ebay a couple years ago? I bought a set to cover my newly re-upholstered 308 seats to protect them. I loved the covers for what they were. Except as they grew older, the elastic lost some of its stretch. I'd sit in the seat and the cover would climb up the front of the bottom seat becoming useless if not an annoyance. So I had mom (Thanks mom) sew an elastic strap from the seam at the back/seat (white arrow) and ended with Velcro passing under the seat. Had her sew the corresponding velcro piece at the front of the seat (other white arrow) to the older elastic so it goes under the seat. Velcro so I can adjust it when necessary. This should be good for another bunch of years. put into service today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wanted to keep my original headlamps so gave these a try, my brother in law's a mechanic for rolls-Royce/Bentley and they use these when a customer with an older vehicle has lights like ours (yellow-dull) They are fully waterproof unlike other manufacturers that state not to be used on the public highway but for off road only. Size wise very close to halogen ones. So no massive bulge sticking out the rear, but saying that there is plenty of room for bigger types. Before I replaced them, I rammed inside the headlamp a wet microfibre cloth and cleaned inside, the amount of dirt on the cloth was unreal, I haven't had chance to try in the dark yet, but in the garage they look massively cleaner brighter intense white light Time will tell if they are as good as my bro says they are ;-) £49 cost U.K. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login I drove mine in the rain...no intentionally, but glad I was smart enough to bring the top! It seemed to keep out the water, the headlights worked, and the wipers wiped! Color me happy!!
I sat on my ass with a cup of coffee and then I sat on my ass for a drive. I'm plenty good at sitting on my ass. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
